My Freya quest is broken . Freya is stuck on returning home, she won’t follow so I can’t get the quest done. She was following me at first but then it popped up on my screen Freya is no longer following you. I can’t get her back. Any idea how I can fix this ?
There is a spell, or there should be. It doesn’t sound like you’re at fault. There is a rescue thrall option on the Followers panel.

Sometimes when talking to her at her hut or your base she acts like she is going to follow you but you actually have to meet her at the location. Eg she won’t follow you to New Asgard or the volcano you have to travel alone and meet her there.

She cannot follow you too far away from her home. The distance isnt that big, New Asagarth is already too far. If you take her there she will stop following and head home.
You need to speak to the Freya at her hovel instead of any “follower” version of Freya to restart the quest.
ps. And as others said, different quests cause her to behave differently. If the quest would require her to travel further than the distance I described above, you are actually meant to meet her at the location.

I tried talking to her at her hovel. She we need the herbs and game. She won’t follow me at all. I tried going to where the hogs are nothing she won’t follow or show up there i tried going to where the wolves are she won’t follow or be there. I tried so many times I don’t know what to do.
Sometimes waiting an hour can knock some sense into her if she (or her duplicate) are being uncooperative
