Funcom, please roll back the official servers

Because, right or wrong, scope matters. All servers were affected vs just clans that got the short end of the stick with hackers. I gotten to the point I really don’t care what they do. In my mind I can deal with significant loss like this. What I have a problem with is reverting back and the bad mojo it brings. I know I’m in the minority so I’ll let you all figure it out.

One thing people are hella mad about is “thralls you cant get anymore” like the arena champion which was exploited to attain.

I must say I miss the Undead Monstrosity, was my favorite pet :fire: :thisisfine: :fire:

Yep skill got some on two servers in fridges. The rare things were the legion warriors since RNG was only 10% effective. Monstrosities were 100%

joooooooo , after the rollback ALL MY THRALLS ARE GONE… realy??? server1050 off. pve.

thats a joke ,right???

Let me tell ya a story.
I got this named thrall, T4, in his 3rd set of armor as I graduated him up to 20th level. I bet i had more time in to gathering the materials to make his epic armor then you could have possibly gotten in in two days.

If we hadn’t gotten this roll back I’d be playing small land right now. And I certainly wouldn’t have been alone.

If this roll back triggered you to quit, you have to be new and would have quit with the update to Ch2 of the age of war. This roll back is a pretty minor amount of destruction for funcom.

I’m happy they did the roll back but it’s hard to thank some one for doing the right thing.

I can imagine AngryPotato. And in fact I was one of the members urging them to rollback for that issue too, even in the face or strong opposition. The rollback solution was the best option on the table, and the the lesser of two evils. Now if I may digress for a moment, this thrall decay timer and Nemedian foundation bug debacle are prime reasons as why I choose not to play on official servers.

The fact of the matter is that if choice boils down to people losing thousands, of hours of progress, more likely years, versus losing 48 hours of progress, then the 48 hours must cut their losses.

I agree that rolling back the servers was the right thing to do. But what I don’t agree with is how they handled it; ideally they could have had the servers rolled back in six hours. But 2 day later?

And if they were going to do this, they could have just made the decision instantly, instead, they waited for us all to grind out the game for 48 hours. Even if it was going to take 2 days to do the roll back, they could have informed us about what they are doing. Funcom is the least accountable, least transparent, worst game company to ever exist.

I sympathize with new players losing 48 hrs of grinding wood and stone and their first sandstone box and T2 Darfari thrall.

But you literally have no idea what players with 100+ geared lvl 20 T4 thralls lost, not to mention the currently unobtainable ones. Maybe after a thousand hours played you will.

Sarcasm aside, most veterans are so elated about actually getting their thralls back (until the next blunder) all you need to do is ask and many will happily help reimburse you anything you lost.

Funcom actually handled this the best way they could. It’s a shame they didn’t do it sooner (or at least post an in-game announcement), but considering how these blunders were handled in the past this one was actually handled surprisingly well.

Yes, and to and to expand on @AngryPotato 's excellent point losing 48 hours of grinding materials is exactly the scenario that a bonus XP or bonus materials event is designed to address.

Losing 20, 40, or 60 or more meticulously levelled and epically geared thralls due to a mistyped value in Settings is not so easily addressable.

The company representative’s response made it clear that they could not do this without the consent of certain individuals. Apparently, today this consent was received, and they made a rollback, which, frankly speaking, I did not expect. Ultimately, logic and common sense prevailed.
My congratulations to those who returned their thralls, ammunition and hundreds of hours of work, and condolences to those who lost progress in recent days, I hope that you will be compensated for this.
Personally, I would still like to know what led to such an epic failure.

ON PVE?? PVE is EASSYY, nobody needs 100+ minions in PVE, that’s ridiculous. Now imagine that you raided a base in PVP and now you won’t be able to raid anymore, maybe because your enemy will bring more people. Or like what happened to me, that I leveled up sorcery like a clown.

There’s no “cutting” the loss. Cutting a loss means abandoning whatever you’re doing to stop experiencing that loss. I believe the word you’re looking for is “absorb.”

Have you ever played PVP before? PVE you never lose things (with the exception of this bug) so even if it takes time you will have everything, already in PVP if you don’t have to play you will never have ANYTHING.

Its easy
Rollback PVE and PVE-C
PVP NO

Why do you need purge thrall in PVE? For collection? Lest you want to collect a minion that if silly a Treasure Seeker is capable of doing better, I’m not a player-collector.

If you have a well-equipped and well-evolved Thugra you can defeat even the arena champion with it, so why would I want a crappy Purge minion?
