Hey @AndyB. its allmost a year since the 17/10-2024 we got the age of heroes, that was nice, and since then it was on maintance becuse of the bugs, but give us atleast a update on what is in the future for the game and are we gonna have a update in october or november or december or are we need to wait to the letter i januar to come, after the age system was sat on pause it feels so empty to play conan, the (DD)= Dark Dregs was amazing but it was a event still cool, talk to us funcom, PLS give us some response. pls make a new map PS still love conan but kinda feels dead in the longterm without new content.

The greatest problems of the game landed with age of sorcery. First to consoles and then on pc too. Before that we had small problems that hotfix in a week would manage, but after age of sorcery even hotfix was not properly fixing issues. I am not happy with the downstream of Dune although i know that the great package is being received since they sold more than a million copies. What frightens me is that now is the best time to “stand up from the table”. It won’t surprise me if we listen in the next days that Funcom is completely sold or closed.

Well then a few people will find out what happens when you get what you ask for.

Agreed about since AoS. It was never the best but it became so much worse then. AoW is when it was most obvious for the greater playerbase. Dune is still working on updates so I don’t know that we’d see a closure so soon.

I think they are starting to realize that they were extremely myopic by considering a Dune game instead of a new Conan Exiles game. Conan Exiles is clearly their most popular game and will continue to be. Funcom made “Aloft” and it flopped hard.

It is also still in Early Access mind you, so how can it have “flopped hard” when it hasn’t even been released yet? Spreading lies and misinformation when it is so easily verified with a 2 second search of the game title and looking at the steam page is just… IDIOTIC. If you truly know nothing about what you are talking about, then don’t talk about it.

Conan is a gem among the survival games now because it requires lower system.They now need to add dirt foundations,circle foundations,walls,ceiling each with 2x2,3x3,4x4 maybe even 5x5 versions of them,double doors and frames,water block just for decoration purposes.Some of those need to be free and crom coins need to be cheaper.Probably a small amount of dev working on this game now i wish them good luck if the modders can do it you guys can do it too.

Aloft (which I know nothing about) aside, Funcom has a long and storied history of horrendous missteps and a complete refusal to listen to, let alone acknowledge, its players. They destroyed the thriving RP community they were blessed with in Age of Conan. And they learned nothing from it outside of the fact that if they gave us private modded servers we’d be reliable cash cows. But now they have Tencent as their evil overlords and TC does not like private servers or mods. And TC is probably completely unaware that this is part of what has hurt Dune. Because even with the game as it is… RPers would have been all over it if it had followed the same model as CE. So I honestly have little hope for the company or its games going forward. And yes, I am “part of the problem” because I do foolishly buy DLC now and again. Though definitely not all of it. Because way too much of it IS incredibly shoddy. Mostly I do it because I will support a game I play and yes, SOME of it is so cool looking I can’t resist. I think both arguments for and against DLC purchases are valid and that we can’t really know for certain which is right. The camp that says, “If you buy DLC that just tells them everything is fine and we’re willing to accept a broken game,” might very well be right. And the camp that says, “If you don’t buy DLC and that last revenue stream from the game dries up the company will have no further reason to support it, let alone attempt to improve it and they’ll sunset it,” also has a point, if for no other reason than that we know TC cares not a whit for the games it gets its tentacles on and looks at them ONLY through the lens of profit and loss and will ruthlessly axe anything that isn’t living up to their expectations because they refuse to invest because they don’t consider games art. They simply view them as mechanisms with which to extract money and then discard their lifeless corpses after they have sucked them dry. Maybe Funcom is learning that now but far too late.

Someone does not understand the concept of released now does he? [image] Taken directly from that very steam page they so graciously linked, which I have already been to, which is why I already knew the game was still in EARLY ACCESS and therefore it has not yet been released. Games are not considered to be released until their “Full Release Date”, which is when full development has been completed and the game is no longer in EARLY ACCESS. This is the came for every single game that has an early access period, including Conan Exiles. How can such a simple concept elude you? Furthermore, numbers on things like “steam charts” are not even viewed or taken into consideration about a games “success” while the game is in early access, only the information from the date of RELEASE. So again, how can a game flop when it has not yet even been released?
