Many users reporting this issue in the official Conan Discord.

Personally I have tried verifying files. Restarting machine. Removing all mods. Verifying again.

Everything was working fine for me 4 or 5 hours ago,
log out and try to log back in, now every time I log in fatal error

Down Detector is showing a small spike in reports of the game not working. So it might be becoming widespread now.

Yeah, i have the same Fatal error on PC, Steam client. Verified game files, restarted PC and Steam, it doesn’t help.

Is this across both modded and official servers? Cuz if it is widespread, pretty sure they will jump on it. At least one can hope lol.

It happens from time to time, it’s not a new issue, but it seems no one cares :frowning:

If it happens to me I do the following workaround:

  • start the launcher
  • unplug the network cable
  • start the game from the launcher
  • wait until the error message about connecting to the Funcom services appears
  • plug the network cable back in and wait some seconds
  • click “OK” and retry to connect
  • choose server and play

This helps me in most cases, but I cant test it right now (I’m at work).

PS: There is no difference if you use mods or not, or if you use official servers or not. File check or new game installation does also not help, its a connection issue.

PSPS: Some one posted this long time ago, but I can find the post now, so kudos to him :slight_smile:

It is both modded and official, PS4 and Xbox. Started a few days ago and seems to be getting worse.

Same happening here… it was working normally until a few hours ago. It would be nice if they didn’t pull this kind of sloppy stunt…

I tried to find it out using tcpdump, but as the traffic is encrypted, I cant say what the problem is. Maybe starting the game needs some connections, which are not available some times, or it takes too long to establish. Funcom needs to have a look into it…
