Help with choosing an alternativ game to AOC

You can also play other great games, like Pokemon, which is great and close to our childhood, I downloaded it at AndroidRub while playing it very friendly.

Warhammer Online: Return of Reckoning is really fun to play MMORPG. Offical server is closed but this private server is full of players. Also Warhammer is nice dark western fantasy :+1:

Wildlife, perchance?

WoW is best mmo play it

I doubt youā€™ll find one.
I come from the Single Player RPG genre of Bioware (KotoR/ Dragon Age), Bethesda (Elder Scrolls/ Fallout series) and of course the Witcher series and Dark Souls, even Mass Effect trilogy.

Online games i used were only FPS type like ArmA 2/3, CoD and For Honor which is a Dueling one.

The reason i tried AoC and Conan Exiles was exactly that. Open world Medieval style RPG without looking like a Cartoon or that theme we see at WoW etc. And it was my first real MMO.

And this is why i stayed in AoC because itā€™s online as well and you have people around to do stuff and talk which makes it more alive. I can say i spend more time Gathering for crafts or chating and the rest of the time doing group content and less grinding.
Itā€™s like Signing in at Social Media for me.

But itā€™s the interactiveness (Which is very good for an MMO) of combat system your character etc. the environmental aspects, everything, that made me stay. Itā€™s just unique and it doesnā€™t have the emptyness of Conan Exiles.

I also prefer Conan Exiles Graphics and itā€™s Combat (Realism) but even if itā€™s Interactiveness is what i want, it lacks all that Ton of abilities AoC has. Just imagine a game combining both aspects! Then, i would choose it over AoC.

But there is noneā€¦ At least none that doesnā€™t lack all that AoC offers. Maybe in the near futureā€¦
It isnā€™t easy though. MMOs only started a few years ago being capable to offer combat systems (as close to realism as possible) because Optimized Performance, Framerate/ Latency, require huge resources to make it work effectively on a Global scale.

Which means: Can we combine a realistic combat system with ā€˜ā€˜Combos/ Abilitiesā€™ā€™ Archetype/ Class Specification options/ Keybind and directional arrows for it? Or a mechanic that determines striking direction plus ā€˜ā€˜Combo/ stepsā€™ā€™ because that helps also controlling your timing more. That would be awesome!

Age of Conan: Unchained

Skull Gate Pass

Assassinā€™s Creed: Valhalla

get your popcorn & enjoy the show

valgalla is 90% dialogues and 10% action, no thx

The Assassinā€™s Creed story ended in 2012 with the end of Ezios taleā€¦
the rest of them are useless trash money grabs.

Also itā€™s not an MMOā€¦

There is no real alternative to age of Conan. Thatā€™s why Funcom is so dumb. Theyā€™re sitting on a gold mine they donā€™t even know it. This game is unique in the realm of MMOs. The combat system is one of a kind. No other MMO on the market out there duplicates it. I know because Iā€™ve tried to find an alternative and have failed. There are some light kind of alternatives. World of Warcraft is sort of an alternative but itā€™s not Age of Conan. Ashes of Creation is coming out at some point looks interesting. Other than that thereā€™s really not a whole lot going on in MMO landā€¦

Iā€™ve just finished 2 weeks in the New World beta and Iā€™m hyped for it. Not perfect by any means but the combat is cool and has a dark fantasy renaissance setting bringing to mind the world of Solomon Kane. A mmorpg for all those Age of Conan/ Secret World refugees wanting a fresh Howard/Lovecraft experience.

Yeah. I think Iā€™m going all in on New World. Lot of good times in AoC, but itā€™s dead.

I played the beta of this pretty extensively and while very excited for the game it was grossly disappointing to me and it went from being what I expect to be my next home MMO to one I wonā€™t even play. Perhaps others will feel differently though (and some definitely do).

What was wrong with it? Was it pretty generic feeling? I havenā€™t been paying any attention to it this past year.
