It’s not really surprising people are holding off on selling aurums for anything less than the cap when the market gets unstable… in the past it’s only very rarely swung downwards (and at most like, 190 to 175) so in general it’s expected that it wasn’t gonna stay at 190 forever, probably 240-250 is the new normal but it has to settle out to see.
Personally I got my $60 or whatever worth of aurum to polish off my character’s needs early in the game and have never felt like converting mof to aurum since, the aurum prices are too high for me and spending mof doesn’t actually fix that since I don’t have a high enough mof income. It’d be like, 100k mof to open up another inventory row and why would I spend 2 weeks working on a few more inventory slots when I can just destroy the random event garbages instead. You get so little for your money it feels better to hang onto it and wait for something interesting.
I dunno what mof sinks I’d actually pay into, I believe my main one right now is about once a month I make myself a new outfit and spend 20-50k mof colour-matching some pieces.
I’d happily pay to open extra raid chests. And that’s the kind of thing Funcom could sell over and over without incurring extra costs, unlike outfits or other cosmetics.
That’s a good idea and they should take note of it.
NY raid is still fun and I would happily do it more then once a week if I could pay to open the chest (actually I do it more then once already only to help out friends).
When many are talking trash in this thread, they failed to realize I may be the only one openly actively stoping aurum price moving up further.
200 was meant to fall, there was no point to defend that. Admit the fact of that, collecting aurum down there will only help to have more aurum to build up defense later.
By what I have done, I give everyone a chance to stop the doomsday from coming by having a defense line no higher than 250.
Sure, if that is true. There is no need to build any frontline in battle.
Everyone can just go play guerrilla warfare
Implement a new token system and combine all the existing currencies into two new ones, convert at a lower exchange rate and have caps on amounts players can carry.
Years ago SWG had a similar effect in the beginning, when the guild wars started those who mined the heck out of the game and then began to control the units of production pretty much killed the game as a whole. What little credits you could muster and gain from doing runs became monotonous as you had to pay for health and clones. My group gave up as there were so many blocks to gains the challenge was abstruse. Unless you joined a guild and became part of the unit process you failed, or just played to be mocked. The prices on the exchange went up, hopeless to really advance with good items. Locked up the entire game until remake (which horribly failed). The largest gainers where the Gold Miners of the day., korea, china, who sold characters back to back and built mills to play 24/7. Unless FUNCOM really caps the market there is no relevance to having a good economy.
My opinion would be as follows:
Item Caps
(green) cap @ 500
(blues) cap @ 2500
(Purple) cap @ 5000
(Yellow) cap @ 7500
(Red) cap @ 10000
Anything higher would be causal loss of players in the future. A free market is capitalism at its finest. Greed is proportional. And, those who were paid members don’t have to be after there is a rich Aurum supply from selling goods at high prices, which I don’t agree on paying 250,000+ BM O F for any item no matter the level as you can grind cheaper. So why be a paid member if you have the Aurum to back from high sales? As for purchasing Aurum, base prices are steady which I see relative since inception. And me personally I pay for what I use in relation to advancing items, if your into the whole package clothing and what not; then your doing what you like, and you have to pay the prices.
I did pay for my outfit in TSW; its what I wanted, not really all that into remodeling a character and gaining small achievements. Gameplay, to me, is the forefront of playing a game. JMHO
This is borderline delusional. You’re not some heroic figure, single-handedly saving the playerbase from an apocalypse, though I will again ask exactly what kind of scam you’re running that is imperilled by the price of aurum reaching the cap?
Believe whatever you want to believe. If there are 2 bad things that are going to happen, it’s only logical to pick a less harmful choice. And that’s what I am doing.
Maybe, only by allowing the cap to be reached, people will understand my actions for many are lack of the basic understanding of how this exchange works. However, that will effectively kill the game that I am saving.
Or you may search everything I post on official discord to figure this out yourself.
Nobody in this market is. Thus, It’s better to provoke the weakness of mass earlier than later.
We have the depth to fight this war when we are at 200. We may not have that when it’s 250.
Oh, then let’s believe I single-handedly brought you this apocalypse
Something pretty big by the looks of it. Looks to me he is trying to get Funcom to raise aurum cap so he can profit and fuq up market even more.
He even said it himself:
That XXXX person ThingFish is talking to sounds like him too (same patronizing style of writing, same grammar mistakes and annoying smiles after sentences).
You just figured out you will not have this thread to discuss this matter if I didn’t provoke fish. Too bad, funcom seems don’t care. Do you remember it is me that threw the link of this thread to the discord right after it was posted?
For your own sake, tell me how can you get aurum at cap?
Let’s face this hard choices:
1, No cap = you can still get aurum even if the price is higher.
2, Cap = you wait in a queue of buy order without knowing when you can actually get aurum
Pick one
This seems failed as this thread is now closed.
Maybe it was never going to work anyway…People talk but take no actions without even understand they are part of this market that they need to do things…
Enjoy the rest days price steadily moving up with no organized defense, no funcom interference, just like before…
To whoever is actually pushing up the price, I am considering withdraw my sell orders. Let the cap come in time…
