That’s impressive. Perfect armour choice too.
Press Insert, it brings you up the command panel. Type Stat FPS, hit Enter, and the game will show.
So some new numbers since I just built my castle with the new DLC.
14148 building pieces and 1441 placeables.
2,400 pieces for your castle base. Not too bad. I had to look up your old post to figure that out.
My clan has 19,418 building pieces, 1,052 placeables. 7 members currently, 3 active. 2 bases (i.e. locations), 7 buildings.
I am pretty much done with it, right now I am replacing all of the log foundations with stone foundations. I did not like the look.
I agree the wood base did not work with a castle setting.
I like the look of the wood foundation piece; however, the foundation would have been better on a wood-based set, instead of one that is all stone.
1036 Exiled Lands 16.253 building pieces.
Surprisingly its not even that big. We build mostly in height so that we claim as little land as posible.
It is a 3 man clan with 2 separated main bases (because he and I are fan of building and share our work on the servers community, we have a great server), although we discussed about it to remove our bases and make a new one that serves both of us.
We are currently in a remote location with very very few traffic far from any oblisk, camp or dungeon nearby, never had complaints but I think its time to build just 1 main base and maybe some small outposts.
Its time to get more active on the server anyway*
*I had quit for a while, I was way to frustrated about the combat lately (mostly the stunlocking)… but it is what it is…
How awesome would it be to have some kind of window frame in wood and stone like the stormglass set has.
Even better with a rounded or pointy top window piece!
If you build with wedges like I did, they eat up more pieces for less space. If I build it with mainly regular foundations, I am sure I would have saved at least 30% of building pieces. This only really applies to my building. A few other buildings did use wedges but the percentage would be lot lower overall combined for the rest of the structures.
I use many wedges
don’t really play alot now, but when game was first out, I know our clan on an official PvP server had at least 100,000 foundations in the eastern bay. we had 2 thick walls in the water extending all the way around 1 grid. and 6 deep around the island alone. But nine of it blocked any major resource, and was out of the general play area tbh.
And after winning 3 server vs us wars, we inherited from losing clans thier bases 8n the crevice and ice cave area. The builders of those didn’t want them to decay and when the clans left, joined and gave them to us. So we probably got up to around 200,000 building pieces for our 10 man clan. We finally let it decay 6 months after we left server.
Why was it this big?
Basically it was 25+ vs 4 or 5 every night for 4 weeks straight. Building in the ocean required about 21 foundations high to get 3 above the sea line. So we layered walls to allow is a warning we were being attacked so we could return and defend if we were out. being it was 4 weeks straight we would rotate raid hours and give days off to avoid burn out and keep at minimum 4 on, weekends we would have maybe 6 to fight the entire server. The good Ole raid days when servers were populated.
Edit: and pre jhebal, set was a true nuke. We had at min 15 God attempts, only 1 or 2 actually did major damage, and about 5 or 6 we killed the carrier and used on them.
14986 builds and 1696 placeables now that I have finished my Castle and the town that grew up around it.
Amazing work!
Great use of the ground with the roads to build on, I love it
Very nice. Surprised how many pieces it used. Did not look that big overall.
After updating my base for the new DLC decorations:
I am a clan of 1. I have 1 main base, 1 public market, 15 public map-rooms, and several other miscellaneous things like stairways and bridges.
It doesn’t matter how big your base is… it’s what you do with it that counts.
I am not sure if you can call my maprooms public, since they are inside my bases, but I leave access to them open for anyone to use.
I have only built one maproom ever that was a stand alone and it decayed because I forgot about it. 15 seems a lot IMO.
