I found a neat spot for a base. There are no other player builds around at all. Yet I’m getting the land is already claimed in a spot right in the middle of the area I want to build. I searched all around, high and low, there are no other player pieces anywhere. This is the only place apparently that I can submit a bug about it so here it is. I’m on server 1500.

New base. No decay. I found what it was though. A player/clan placed a foundation under the mesh in the area with a decay of 434 so it was refreshed recently. The clan has nothing in the area at all. I happened to find it using the hammer. Yes, PVE. Great Dam spot, in the alcove on the right side.
Did you try speaking to them first??
I never see them on when I am.
I think you should try before having reported… let’s say FC actually actions this report and they get suspended/banned, is that warranted for possibly a simple mistake of what looks like having accidentally left behind a foundation?

Exactly, it could have been a leftover…yet nuke them anyway just in case

It’s not always the players fault if foundations clip under mesh . It’s a problem by gaming design. Multiple times when we try to build online building parts clip somewhere yet we are not exactly sure where.
Many players from different regions play on servers, it’s been this way forever.

I dunno I’m kind of tired of the players that spam the servers with crazy builds over the whole map. I’ve been on a lot of servers where that sort of thing was very intentional in desired spots like that just to troll others so I’m not sorry for reporting it. Aside from that it has a full decay timer that was refreshed just today. That said, I think typically if anything at all is actually done about it they just remove the piece.
If you are on PC I kindly suggest to check server 1043 (pvec, EU) - around sinkhole - proper example of what foundation spam landclaim truly is…
btw if they placed that foundation by mistake, there isn’t any way to remove it, since it can’t be targeted with cons.hammed while under mesh. On pvp servers you can try to bomb it, but that’s all.

Probably passed by it and doesn’t even know the foundation is left behind…
And no, not necessarily typical. Possible saving grace is that the clan can’t remove it and submitted their own request. Submitting a report can result in a full server review which means that it can cause unintended consequences - even to yourself.

That was true in the past, but not currently. You can destroy pieces under the mesh now.
I’ve seen one build near Sep, that’s still up today, that spans all the way from the rhino king to over the cliff toward the scorp king. Has several large towers. One guy put a grid of foundations over a good bit of the mounds with just a little building. One person has several gigantic sky scrapers around sep and sinners. Filled with animal pens and lights. Kind of neat looking but takes up large swaths of territory. On yet another there’s one clan with several large builds over the map that packs them full of fully armored mannequins that cause one’s fps to drop to the floor when it renders in. On another server there was one clan that several giant builds over the various spots on the map. That one would leave foundations all over the place some 50+ foundations away from the main build. I’ve seen many that will place the columns and foundations out of sight all around their base.
Now one server I set up a purge base and some joker decided to stick a portal on the only path they take to the purge base. I even had signs up near it that said this is a purge base.
I can target with the repair hammer and the regular hammer.
Indeed, assuming the system is working correctly as Tephra mentioned, they probably can too.
But do they even know its there? It’s 1 foundation.
I dunno. All I know is a lot clans will tag an area like that to keep it from being built on for whatever reason also, especially that spot.
Oh, that’s smth new - may I ask how to do it? I have a misplaced foundation under one of my bases and it blocks me for building properly in that spot.
Just aim where it is at and destroy it as if you could see it. The destroy action works through the ground.

I’ve been able to just spam destroy in a spot to get at something so long as it registers to the hammer. As an aside, I know you all are giving the benefit of the doubt but the spot where it’s under the mesh is a spot where you have to place the others just so in order to get to place under that area. Not usually something that low you put in that spot for a build.
