Yeeeah. The other part of this (other than the messaging) that’s been deeply insulting is how completely unnecessary and avoidable the whole thing is. VERY basic dev practices taught in first year undergrad completely avoid problems like this from coming up, AND they have a pool of people who are proven to be willing to pay to test FOR them, and they still just cavalierly throw out an update, untested, that breaks stuff like this EVERY update.
At this point? Honestly? I expect more professionalism from 4chan than from Funcom.

I would and will disagree with you there. My opinion, with zero inside information and only a forensic recovery of it so far. This is about payment gateways, automatic exchange rates and the coincidental institution of an automatic Cheater Ban system.

Yeah it was a poor choice, with poor implementation. But that seems to be what their thinking was on that one.
I’ve been playing this game for 3 years in the same north, and this is the first time I’ve been banned in all this time. I hope that this issue will be resolved soon and all my coins will be returned. And all the buildings will not disappear.
yeah seems like funcom is doing manual fixes for those that open a ticket with them. From what I’ve been told.
So I would open up a ticket if your effected by this.
However the customer service should be there to handle it.
It is like when you are going to do a fireworks show, you expect not to blow up the attendance, but you still have the firefighters and first attenders at ready.
That is the worse problem.
It calls the reliability of future deals into question.

I totally agree… At this point i expect a little something something as a an apoligy. This is really embarassing, and it feels like FUNCOM really lost track

Personally, I hope you can use this to your advantage. I know if it happened to me I’d be playing it up for street cred amog my Steam friends. As a PvP player, I apologize but am grateful Funcom has listened to our many requests and finally implemented such a ban system. Again, I regret this happened to you (and all of my pals too.)

Indeed. I own and run my own server and this is most definitely going to impact the experience of my players and I.
Yeah, the logic:
Let the people, who actually manage to get into the game and have no problems with being banned, to have double resource harvest rate for now. That seems like a clever way how to apologize and reimburse the affected players for their lost time, screwed mood and dissapointment, not to talk about some who actually get scared they owe someone something and can get into trouble. We got few 70 yo+ people on server, who have no idea about what ransomware and such is… Just one big SIGH. 
And btw. It’s still not working for me.

Same problem here as many other players. All excitement from new chapter fade away and changed into dissapoitment.
Its funny that in contrast of bringing tavern system which role is favor its patrons, You funcom thanks to that kind of “bugs” scare away Your current and potential crom coins patrons.

I got banned too for -1000 cron coins. I freaked out and submit a ticket but now I’m more relaxed knowing that I’m not alone in this. Is kinda like the end of the world scenario. At least we all die together
