Curious, did this problem hit you on the console? Was thinking it’s strictly a Steam related thing.

And there is two problems to solve about the “ban”:

One: set the thing that triggered the problem with the balance.
Two: set the system to correct reflect the balance as it should be.

Because simply devising a way to consider the collation of transaction data does not mean the problem that caused the error is solved.

As people say it is not the first time, that is even a bigger problem.

Next time will we be owing hundreds of thousands ? :rofl:

Agree. When it said it wanted my Steam account info, I wasn’t filling out anything. Made me think this whole mess is a way for hackers to collect passwords and stuff.

I literally have bought every single thing on the store and battlepass. Further, I had just bought two packets of crom coins right before this (about 28k). You are underselling the annoyance. I just want to look at things while I wait, couldn’t they offer a temporary unban while figuring this whole mess out?

Zendesk provides the system that hosts the operation for Funcom, it does not collect your Data.

I have worked with them. They are like a “hosting” company that offers templated systems and tech support (the tech side, infra structure), but the client is the one handling the “data”.

Any company you deal with customer support online have a “zendesk type company” doing this service.

Well this kind of screw up was bound to happen.

Serves China right for investing in a company that can barely keep the game running. You really gave them the responsibility to handle people’s money? I mean just look at them.

For shame, China, for shame.

I do not know. I have been helped before, they also asked my Steam ID to do so. With my info, they provided me with the details of all my transactions since the Age of Sorcery. It was a while ago though, and only concerned my account for a specific issue, not a bug of that scale.

Idk why the rant about China.
If this was in China, the situation would be much different, for the better.
I wish I was living there still every time I have problems with companies now I am living here in the “other side”.

That needs to go, right away. Base game should not be held at the whims of Funcom. That is beyond messed up.

Because it isn’t as simple as rolling back code. The damage is done.

Funcom is in trouble. I only lost a bit of money, and access to the game, but some people have lost hundreds of real world dollars. And it isn’t as simple as pressing the undo button.

This will be a job for their accountants, not their programmers.

That is the problem with “feedback”.

this problem is not about the “game”, it is about the support system that tells the “server” you have the right to the coins you digitally claim to have.
And the main issue they might have in solving it is exactly because it has nothing to do with the game.

And I can bet some people out there in the funcom cubicles are fuming about the fact that so many people are having problems and they are bound to lose with it, without them (many people at the game side of things) having nothing to do with it.

I suspect the ban is triggered when there aren’t enough credits to cover the deduction. I had 1,200 coins deducted, but had a balance of approx 5k so they just took my coins and let me log in.
