And I’m the passive aggressive one.
or #3, don’t realize its over used statement, that needs to be thrown in trash can, cause its border line trolling. =p
“Thats Life”
It doesnt have to be that way…=/
I think I’d have better luck convincing men to put Seat down, Putting seat up… or maybe wiping after they pee. LOL
I just watched that South park Episode… Its in my head.
Agree’d I’ve seen plenty of ideas that made me… roll my eyes.
At same time, most of them were far off Base Game Design. There was a few, that wouldn’t really impact any design, and effect anyone really, outside those that wanted, lets say prebuild mod(ropes and stakes) Or rafters mod.
I would counter this with… Not ever Console player follows Mods for PC. So it feels like they do not listen.
Console user do not see it in same way as PC user(who actively know mods) See it.
hence why, people post they don’t feel heard. Fellow Forum Users and Staff can say yes…your heard.
They Just Do Not See It.
To be fair… I know we are heard… I KNOW WE ARE!!! 100% fact.
But… when they patch my Ps4 game, and break stuff and takes months to fix it. that 100% they listen factor… feels like 0%.
I log into 2.7, to watch my base (and other bases break down in SP)
I can see why some people hold a torches and pitchforks when there on forums. XD
For me, who takes peeks(mods on Nexus) None of Mods I wanted, have been intergarted… most of them I can live with out at this point, or gave up hope of seeing lanterns, or Glow plant belt…place-able trees,
I can’t even remember half of my suggestions I’ve posted, (most of those have been “theres a mod for that” as a reply…or I should get a Master Race PC) he he he
I’m not angry… if it Sounds…reads? Like I type it?
English is 2nd Language to me… Now my main anyway. I hope no one takes what I type as a Argument.
Its mostly just my thoughts, half-ass typed out.
With several proof reads for errors… and failing to catch most of them. =p
What I was trying get across… (English and grammar… spelling? Typing…) Is never my Strong suite.
I guess Never was wrong word. Rare would be better. , Ark and few other games got mods on Consoles.(mostly Maps)
Fallout and Skyrim…sorta got mods on ps4 side.
Fallout 76, (terms of service) tos update to include Mod info…
That said, all of this is a lot of conjecture. Truth be told, if you look at actual suggestion threads – as opposed to arguing about hypothetical discussions – you’ll find very few are derailed by people discussing mods.
Good point, I don’t think I’ve ever seen one in this Conan forum - ever. I see them a lot in some of the application forums I frequent but those have nothing to do with Conan of course!
Maybe someone can link to one such?

I am going to make an assumption here, just from what I’ve seen since they added consoles. But appears the reason this happens is because they develop things on PC, then do a migration to console. And their testing standards are unfortunately lower for consoles.
And the standards isn’t because they put a lower value on consoles. They just don’t have a lot of them to test them on. I mean try this… go to the store and buy a PS4/Xbox right now. You can’t. They’re not available. Even Microsoft who is hosting tournaments has to use their dev consoles to host them due to the shortage.
Microsoft has dev Xboxes, they make them. Funcom doesn’t have that. They have to buy normal ones just like we do.
But none of that is caused by mods or suggestions of mods. I mean mods can cause the issues you have if they’re improperly made or not updated, but you’d have to be using them in the first place. But a broken vanilla game isn’t being caused by mods. I’m not suggesting that you’ve made that claim. I’m just pointing it out.

This one’s the closest I can get:
I have noticed in a very stand out way that temperature seems to mean much less than it did . I used to remember a great deal more what clothing you wore when you ventured out into the wilderness. Was there a mass complaint about getting too hot or cold and I messed it to the tune of the temp meaning next to nothing now ?
And even that one, in my opinion, wasn’t really derailed because someone said “there’s a mod for that lol”, but rather because someone challenged the importance of the survival aspect in Conan Exiles.
I could probably go digging for older threads and eventually find a better example, but the level of effort it would require should make it plain that “there’s a mod for that” isn’t really an overused, borderline-troll statement.
The vast majority of the times mods are mentioned in a suggestion topic, it turns out like one of these recent threads:
- In-Game Economy for PVE-PVC Request: mods were mentioned, but it was in passing, to acknowledge that they existed, while still affirming that the feature would be welcome in base game
- Turn a rival player into a thrall: along with discussing why the feature would not be suitable for the base game – on its own merits – mods were mentioned as an alternative
Those discussions look perfectly valid to me, and the mention of mods in them contributes to them instead of detracting. If people think that is borderline trolling, then I disagree with their definition of trolling.

Yup, or their definition of derailing, etc.
OMG, we’ve been duped, we’ve had… FAKE NEWS! LOL - Bahahahaaa…
I would agree with this as long as the comments are inline with the direction the title and OP body was going and not take the thread off topic with concerns that would best suited in a completely new thread, arguments, anger, insults, etc, etc.
