im playing on official server #1048 (eu, pve). after i reached max level and did everyhing i wanted, i started to visit that server every 8th day(made google calendar reminder) to reset upkeep timer. after last visit one of my three places decayed. it was main building with theretory around it. i always check all my places with repair hammer and wait until timer resets, do that twice for my main place and leave my character in there. so last time i logged in in the void, only thralls left. how is this possible?
All I can provide is a theory which of course may or may not be correct. It appears that if a server crashes it can lose the info that a base had been refreshed earlier and thus when the server restarts the decay timer will be rolled back to it’s pre-refreshed state.
Refreshing every three to four days seems to protect against this. At least so far.

On depending of the size of this territory it could be an admin action too. I had this experience 2 years ago.
