I have no idea, @dorpie . Never saw you fight and I lack the pvp experience in this game. But in other, harder, combat games I know a thing or two. 
But the few times I joined pvp servers (for a trophy) I was never beaten. But probably all I got were noobs. They really sucked.
And there we got it 
No dude, we really don’t. I don’t live in isolation. I happen to be friend of a very, very good pvp player. I also have years as semi pro in competive gaming, so I know how to analyze game mechanics. So no, we don’t have it.
It was nerfed down to a normal attack, that ain’t fixed. Under power and overpower are the same issue … deviation from what it should be.

I mean, I have played PVP games my whole life. The experiences there is not even comparable. If you have such a knowledge you should have seen clear that katana wasnt well balanced when it came to the dash.
It wasn’t supposed to be balanced, for its role was to counter a weapon that is anything but, due to the parameters that define pvp in this game. Why do you think the pike is so dominant? Because of how balanced it is? Are we joking now, @dorpie ? The katana never became dominant because it’s much harder to master. It also carries a greater risk for the player. It has only one move with really high range, unlike the pike. You are way more exposed. And as I said, I don’t know you. But playing pvp and playing pvp at a competitive level are two different animals.

So you really believe that it’s purpose was to counter spears? I mean, you even said yourself. “I lack the PVP experience in this game” but you know what?

The spear is much safer. You are at a greater range and the movements are much smaller. You know that very well. Now we are just arguing for the sake of it.
Oh, I know you don’t. This doesn’t mean your view isn’t self serving, because it clearly is.
You have the same movement. lol Only time when you dont have the movement, is when you loading your dash, but in other hand that one was dealing 90% of your health lol.
I mean, you lack experience, I dont. I think your view on PVP stuff should be out of this then
I won’t beat a dead horse. You guys already got what you wanted. Have a nice time pokey poking each other to death. Meanwhile a very cool weapon was ruined. But I’m sure you’ll keep finding self serving excuses. You always do.

Thing is it’s still working so xD Like I said, I met several people after the change that still does good with katana, just that you cant get those easy kills with dash anymore lol.
Though luck, then, because I’ll give my view whenever and wherever I see fit. Your argument doesn’t stick with me, buddy. But as the debate is pointless, I am putting it to rest from my part.
