I had the same problem.

SOLUTION: The problem disappeared after using an Emote.

I tried many things on this post, nothing was working until I tried equipping a 2h weapon, that fixed it for me. Seems to be different things for everyone

All weapons and tools were already modded for a few eeks now.

Didnā€™t change anything.

Bloody irritating.

Only happened after update.

Please fix.

Just logged in to find I couldnā€™t equip tools weapons or shields. Thanks to the person who suggested equipping a 2 handed weapon - that worked for me.

I had a problem equip-ing offhand items like shields, torches, etc. This started happening yesterday. I notice when I try to equip, there is a movement that seems to be to equip but it does not ā€œstickā€. I have no problems with one handed weapons. I can also equip a two handed weapon and when i do that the problem is fixed.

The only way Iā€™ve found to resolve this problem is to kill yourself and re-equip. Hope this issue gets fixed, itā€™s a big problem.

Had this issue yesterday and today. Resolved it by equipping a 2H item, and then could equip offhand again.

I can confirm the 2H weapon has worked for me.

Thank you. I could not equip off hand. I tried every solution on this thread and nothing. Then I saw your post. That did the trick. Such a simple thing that I never would have figured out on my own.
