Bracelet removal is dying. It’s just death of your own choosing.
I also have issues with not being able to use most weapons or tools. I can u two handed sword and the torch and shield. But cannot use skinning knife, pick, hatchet,clubs of any sort, or any other weapons. I am on official server 1609 Xbox 1.

It HAS to be something to do with a weapon on your hot bar bugging out.I have had this issue twice now, I have a 2 handed weapon in the number 1 slot and died while wielding it. I respawn back at a BED and could not fight at all, could even swing my fists. Emptied my inventory and placed the 2 handed weapon back in my 1 slot and equipt it, fixed. However there is ANOTHER exact type but damaged weapon in my number 2 slot now.
Don’t use your 1,2 or 3 slot for weapons. If you do, the bug will happen again next time you die. I flipped my sword over to slot 7, and I’ve not had the big relapse on me. This is after I had it happen EVERY time I died with my Sword in 1.
ok so I took your advice. Lol. Changed it to my tools in first three slots now all is good. Thanks a ton.
Figured I’d put in my similar issue:
Was running around catching thralls when suddenly I couldn’t equip my rope anymore. I tried taking it off my hotbar, making new ropes, restarting the game, dying, etc. Finally I found this thread and saw some of you had luck taking out your entire inventory so I put my armor and inventory in a chest, put 1 meat in each hotbar slot (since you can’t just remove items from the hotbar which is silly) and used each of the meats. Finally I could equip my rope again!
This was on an unofficial server on Xbox, was using a 2h steel sword with a simple weapon upgrade as my main weapon and the iron truncheon thing I forget the proper name of when this issue occurred. At some point I’m sure I did die around this time and respawn at a bed, but I’m not sure if the issue was directly after dying.
Tl;dr: couldn’t equip item, put ENTIRE inventory in chest, problem solved.
And for the record, was this the rope in slot 1 (down), slot 2 (down-left), or slot 3 (left)?

- My issue is always persistent, haven’t been able to play for 3 days now. I can play on private server or any other server I log on to but cannot play on 609. It first happened when I died to some archers but leveled up at the same time, now every time I respawn I get the level up notification sound again. Can’t use tools or weapons and will not stay in combat stance, can’t melee or kick, only can dodge/spring/interact.

I had the same issue. I removed all items from my quick-slots and then only put food or other in the first three spaces and then only a weapon in slots 7 and 8. This worked for me on the server I am playing on and then can respec as desired. As mentioned before it seems to be slots 1, 2, and 3 that are the issue.
I am currently having this issue as well. However it seems to actually be the item (a shield) rather than the slot itself that is still unequippable after fixing the rest of my slots (they were bugged as well but putting a consumable in them and using them after emptying my inventory fixed the slots themselves). However even after a power cycle on my X1X and restarting my server, i am still unable to equip my shield, while everything else seems to be working again.
yea its happening to me to on xbox on all servers i keep having to start over a new character each time . im frustrated
It appears i am not able to equip offhand items at all, as i am also not able to equip bindings either.
EDIt: Despite having died since having this issue… removing by bracelet has fixed it and i am again able to equip offhand items. Very strange… But it worked.

Here is the Solution to fix the Bug till Funcom find the Problem:
First put all Things in your Hotbar back to your Bag. The Hotbar has to be empty! Then close the Game. No relog! You have to start the Game new!
Then you can put your Things back to your Hotbar and play.
For Funcom:
When i testet this Bug, because it happend to me on the Ship, i put all things back to the Bag. When i use DoubleClick to fill the HotBar with the Weapons from my Bag in Slot 2 appears another Weapon. Its duplicate one. The IronThing for knock down Thralls. I think the Problem is within the Hotbar. Hope it helps in any Way.

hey i tried ur therory on xbox but it wouldnt work but what u did was give me a great idea that did. if you are unable to attack or even kick or use any weapons simple craft a new weapon but have nothing in your hot bar when u do it. it ma

it has nothing to do with the hotbar. It is a movment issue. Just hit “Backspace” twice.

I cannot express with words how thankful I am. I tried everything recommended in this thread to no avail. Thought I’d just have to quit until the server was restarted or something. Backspace twice fixed it instantly.
Yes, seems happen to some people, but other doesn’t experience this issues, on the same server.
There is allready a workaround i found searching a bit.
The bug seems more related to animations to me.
If you play an emote, any emote, like “salute”, “bow”, or whatever you like, just after you can equipe weapons and tools again. Tested just before with a friend having this problem on my server.
Why this ? no clue realy, but it works, like said, it’s just a workaround !
