Performance and stability issues after June 2nd patch - Feedback thread

Just a few minutes ago, I tried to teleport to the southern half of B6 via admin teleport, was stuck in an infinite loading screen with the bar filled up barely over a third.
Co-Owner of Dreamborn RP also reported freeze and crash issues yesterday.

Hope this gets fixed quickly.

Hopefully we’ll be able to share better news very soon. For now we’re trying to build a new version that holds up and shows no traces of the stability problems.

Not to muddy the water but I play side-by-side with my wife on two separate PC’s and she is the only one having game freeze issues. She has a near brand new high-end PC and I’m running an older Razer Laptop. As a former software architect I’m dying to know why my laptop isn’t suffering any of these recent ailments. Happy to run any some testing if anyone has any ideas.

Also: Someone posted this earlier and I’d like to re-up his comments. The game freezing started for her 2-4 days ago (I can’t really remember the exact timeframe) but only froze up after a very long game session (4-6hrs?, we’ve been playing a lot). I want to say it didn’t happen every day (intermittent) but hadn’t happened before then in the prior 60 days we’ve been playing. After the patch it started within minutes along side the new full-screen lockout issue.

EDIT: I am in different world location atm (11-D) on my laptop. May run down south. She froze in 6-B, 6-D, and 5-E. Was on a horse each time.

Same issue for me in that particular area, which is right by my base (local server). I just assumed it had to do with trying to load something in that’s close to there. Nothing particularly special about that area that I can think of, though, except that it’s close to the arena/sinkhole.

As an update, I exited out of Siptah game on private server without issue today. #cromhassmiled

Alright everybody. Excellent news. We believe we may have a fix. We’ve completed a new build which has gone through internal testing, where we have addressed the performance and mod issues.
We’re currently finishing the last touches and we will proceed with the release of this patch.

Once again thank you all for your patience and feedback during this time and, hopefully, see you ingame in a bit!

patch is on steam 173M

I just hopped my laptop to try and repo the issue and followed the first route (10/11-D to 6-B) she took on horseback behind the city and froze in 5-C. So much for my laptop theory.

EDIT: This was a Pre-patch repro

Patch is out:

 :pineapple: :pizza:

yep, that patch difinitely fixed it for me, thanks a lot guys !

Thanks for the patch but the server where I am has now 9999 ping and I can’t enter, I don’t want to lose my progress :frowning:

Are you on an official, or a private server?

Private, I see official servers with the same problem, too many with 9999 of ping,
before the patch this did not happen

Several official servers are being rebooted now, that’s probably why you’re seeing a bunch of them with 9999 ping. My list shows most of them as valid and with an actual ping.

Just picked up the game this past weekend. I’ve seen that every time i try to enter my private dedicated server(including pre-patch). I was able to work around by direct connecting to the server.

Additionally, please also try this common fix for many corrupted files issues (especially if playing with mods):

Server in a repeating restart loop… it boots up, then gives the 10 minute warning for restart… over and over and over.

Any suggestions?

Hey everybody,

Us, again!
For those of you in private servers and still experiencing some issues, please follow the workaround we shared on top of the post before.

We are currently investigating the issue, but we think we may have spotted it already. It seems to do with SteamCMD getting a bit confused with the back and forth patching of these fixes.
For now, those of you with this issue, please try the workaround and let us know if that addresses your issue, at least temporarily.

Thanks for the quick turn around and keeping us all informed, team!

But a lot less funny to those of us in the know…
