Please consider moving some three star bosses Funcom

I was wondering this myself in the beginning of early access since I’ve mostly played pvp in online games, and Conan Exiles felt like the perfect game for building great if you wanted to, but also raid/siege, fight other players, but then came all the cheating, undermeshers, offline raiding etc.
The pvp mechanics never really felt satisfying to me so I tried private servers with varying results and in the end most of them disappeared or had wipes because of several reasons.
Long story short… I was burnt out on pvp in Conan, regular battles became less and less and at the same time it was too easy to destroy a base, looting became the main goal of pvp, maybe I am a bit hopeless thinking that the game would be about epic battles, and losers lost some building parts and stuff, but instead it was more about complete destruction and loot everything.

Don’t get me wrong, I also looted bases, but I never took or destroyed everything, some clan members may have done so, but a game like Conan Exiles where building up a base can take a serious amount of time and be gone in a couple of hours in an offline raid… I think a lot of people just got burned out on pvp, some people only wanted peaceful pve, chatting with people and just build whatever they could imagine… the pve aspect quickly grew beyond pvp and still does it.

I’ve seen this in other online survival games with heavy building and crafting aspect, sometimes I wonder if games that require so much time investment is really worth it to have heavy focus on pvp, I know Rust has, but they also got wipes, I didn’t play Ark a lot, but did find some fun in Atlas, but it just wasn’t solo friendly since large companies claimed all good land…

I’m gonna stop here, no matter how we look at it, pve clearly is the biggest factor in Conan Exiles and especially official pvp is shrinking, it just never became the pvp game I dreamt of, but I found myself still enjoying it in pve and it sort of felt good not having to be constantly online to protect my base

Well, you could state your point, present an argument to support it, give examples, etc.

It can’t happen to me. I left public servers three months ago when the revised TOS further pushed them into a toxic environment that encourages players trying to get other players banned.

I even opened a topic about it.

Yeah me. Because I’m a firm believer in not following the herd in building…but I will say that I have even gotten fat and lazy over the years and have my “goto” spots so the psychology is justified to assume we all have our habits.

Yeah it got ugly all right. Then we had to change our strategies. My response was to be present for every raid window. That works as long as it does, as we all know.

Later, in response to offlining, I started building honeypots that not only showcase this game, but also show off some flair and style. Being a supreme builder is self-evident (I’m not including myself in that lot, yet), and your RP stuff tells a competent raider that there may be more to the story.

Now we’ll just do something else. In JJ’s case that’s not so great.

It’s almost like they designed it to be a spot for a monster croc to live, right?

Pvp servers should have different rules then pve. It seem like people were more happy to deal with mesher and porker instead of reporters.

Either way rules are only being enforced because to have a reason to cut down server cost. Nothinv to do with the actuao rules themselves. I will give it a couple of months before they revert to something else.

irrelevant and subjective. Lore stones can be seen as non-essential as well to most players. But I can also make the same case that obs are non-essential as well. Just because you don’t see a reason to have it doesn’t mean others see it the same way.

Why not? There are many things that we all do as risks in the game and no one is 100% compliant. JJ’s just asking for consideration and I don’t see that as any different as me asking for mason thralls that can make foundations and walls. Improvements to our game that we believe could benefit others as well. Now I don’t agree with JJ but she can and should speak up about changes she wants. I didn’t get entitlement out of the request.

Agreed but due to the strategic effects. I really wish folks would quit building on high traffic areas and then whine about being unfairly targeted in raids.

Building showcase designs is what you do for your decoys on PVP. The art is still very important and it’s how I measure (IE judge) folks on the server. If you build like a 3rd grader, I will treat you like one.

Says the guy who makes daily threads whenever the old one gets locked unendingly crying that their massive megabase is still innocent, well over a month later. You even put it as your picture. I know you’re out of touch, but at least tone down the absurdity

Why is that again? I hear this time and time again that there really just needs to be two different games and I still just don’t understand why. Everyone can ask for what they want in their game…and FC can say no because it affects too many people. Weapons, armor, bosses, travel, thralls…they are all the same regardless of PVP or PVE. This request for segregation simply means we aren’t mature enough to live in a world with other viewpoints and needs.

Usually pvp servers anything that block could be bomb and destroyed while pve you cannot. Also the fact the rules for engagement between the two are different. You also dont have control how much a pve can build. Blocking something that is something that is needed to complete the game shouldnt be on a pvp server. They could do it but should be something that is used to get rid of people.

Please follow the guidelines and get alpng with the community and provide proper feedback. Do not jump on threads just to critize someone that wants feedback.

To be completely honest. I would like it if the removed the different types of servers and allowed the character (only at generation) to be adjusted to being open to PVP, PVE-C or PVE. It would add more social dynamics into the game that is needed, IMHO. Also it would provide PVP folks with people that aren’t threats that they can socialize with without fear of giving too much information.

Be careful what you ask for. Your wish might get granted.

Du du daaaaah! (dramatic music)

As a stealth player I tend to not use the crevice but that is such a beautiful base spot. I have made some great stuff in there before (enough for the raiders to actually message me about it and how they loved it) Please don’t take that spot away. It’s is the best cave spot for creative designing.

The only spot where a god cant reach you lol I am not going to farm 200 thralls again😭

That’s not entirely accurate. There are places in the jungle area as well.

And did you really need those 200 thralls? At first I was crying over my loss of stuff but now I’m looking forward to it…it was such a drag to be that concerned over the junk. Need vs hoarding comes into it and realization that your true needs in the game are very small.

Temples…
Eastern barracks, eye that never closes, gate of the moon. All can be made as an inverted apex and be treb and god proof. There is also watcher of the passage (which is a standard for cheese zerg clans), the spots at the dock where the witch queen is, the small area just west of the pagoda of BL and some others as well
