@droch-aon
See above… I have posted all the armor from AoS/W till now.

You didn’t mate. Worry not.

Many times I’ve considered quitting Conan to avoid going through this period of decline. It’s going to be really tough seeing this game abandoned and just feeding a monetization machine.

Thank you for the clarification. Your opinion makes way more sense now. When everyone posts on the forums it’s important to remember that some people are posting from a PvP perspective and some from a PvE perspective.

Everything you said makes total sense now. As a PvE player I totally respect your opinion because it’s based off of you playing PvP.

Thank you

I personally agree with you. The whole system NEEDS to be canned. However, I recognize that the industry is much too slow in embracing change that benefits the consumer.

While I would love nothing more than to be able to buy what I want when I want to via a catalogue, that simply is not a concept that the industry recognizes. What matters to the shareholders is cash-flow. This is probably why Funcom ditched the idea of DLC packs in favor of their seasonal format.

The numbers speak for themselves. Funcom is bleeding players. I cannot say how rapidly it is occurring, but something needs to be done, and I hope that it is in the best interests of we the players.

Looking at the Steam charts (please don’t tell me it does not take consoles into account haha) I think we are already there decline-wise. The playerbase is small and it’s the most devoted hardcore Conaners. I browsed through servers this week, and most PvE ones are dead, just large bases stand there like headstones, just to be refreshed once every 2 weeks… Some action on PvP servers, but I have never seen more than 8 players at a time. Few extremely popular private servers with 50+ players online… And that’s it. (and I thought my server sucked with 15 online lol)

It’s worse than Steam charts show, because I think that most of these numbers are people just entering the game for brief moment to reset decay timer - but system counts them as an active player in said month.

We need Conan Exiles 2, same but better. Or lot’s of love for our existing Conan once they free up some dev-hours after Dune launches. I am going to try Dune, it looks like it’s going to be improved Conan.

Here we go again…

Funcom promised not to resell previous battle passes and they should keep their promise.

You’re not penalized as a new player, you’re not missing out on something important to interact with the game at all…

After all… the Battle Pass is one of the reasons Conan Exiles gets new content updates and active development which is beneficial to new players too.

Reselling old Battle Passes is breaking a promise they made, how to sell a broken promise…

If they resell it… its a big middle finger to the players thinking they bought and worked for exclusive items, making them feel like they are scammed.

Learn to live with something you will never get… like a lot of things in life.

@prologue1337

Resentment is a very ugly character trait!

Reselling the stuff, clutter or fluff - so what, does hurt you or anyone else?
Seriously 1.2oo CC and it is refunded!
So only one’s greed is the real challenge to conquer.

Each lvl is how much again → 180 CC.
Let’s assume out 60 there are refunds and free lvl with fluff - so only 40 levels (of course I am exaggerating) of the actual stuff.
40 * 180 → 7.2oo CC.

I don’t think people are willed to pay 7.2oo CC for a whole chapter - however, microtransactions of 180 CC for a singular item is compared to that rather cheap.
Instead of resentment  and embrace anyone :whale: eager to buy this stuff!

I agree with this.

Greed is too, and I think far worse.

Already in my reply:

I don’t see why spending money should allow breaking promises. That’s basically corrupt.

You’re entitled to your opinion. I’d like to think you’re wrong though. I can’t speak for other PvE servers. I just know that mine is far from dead and it’s much more active these days than people claim.

There is nothing really to explain or to argue about. This is how battle passes work.
If a player supports the game during said period of time he gets these unique items.
There are some really greedy companies out there (like Wargaming) and even they don’t break these rules.
It is how it is, it’s not unfair or anything, it is just how things work.

if they start selling battle pass items outside of battle pass then nobody is going to buy the battle pass.

Just for clarity I do enjoy the feeling that I have things in game that not even $$$ can buy.

If Funcom wants to start reselling BP items going forward, that’s fine with me.

But don’t include previous BP items. I have everything since the start and I like knowing that I have something that others can’t buy.

Yes, it’s sense of achievement. I’ve been there and done this!

Not if they charge significantly more.
I completed all battlepasses, so I don’t have a horse in this race, but I don’t like seeing people permanently locked out of anything. Life outside gaming does enough of that already.

I wouldn’t say nobody cause players will still buy it, but players like us looking for exclusivity or a reason will most likely pass on it.

I would pass on it, I wouldn’t feel the need to get it…

Just like Riot did on League of Legends with prestige skins.

Although Riot never promised it to be exclusive… they felt the need to address exclusivity a little by giving another version to the players getting their hand on these first year prestige skins… now everyone wants that version which no one can ever get -.-

When the skins were exclusive the first year you saw a lot of players using them, because they felt unique, now days you barely see them because they’re nothing special anymore, including the new ones.

I assume they sell a lot less now based on the times you see a player using new and old resold prestige skins, compared to it being exclusive the first year.

Long story short… exclusivity sells probably more than reselling old content.

I own all the DLCs and battle pass items and I used to craft everything for others so they could enjoy it too.
I heard that it was blocked and other players can no longer pick up DLC/Bazaar/Battlepass items they do not own or something like that?

I might sound bitter… but in the real world this is the case too.

I understand you have compassion for peoples feelings and emotions, but giving everyone what they want based on feelings or emotions is also bad, they will never learn to live with things they can’t have.

I have a mixed feeling about this, but one feeling outweighs the other.

Exactly because of that.

They have no other choice.
If we can avoid transporting that to gaming, it would be ideal. Most people live like shit on this planet. It’s a sad reality. I would prefer to avoid it, on both accounts. If irl this is very hard, on games that can be done, at least to a certain extent.
