The player base has enough logical thought reasoning to understand a single weekend of progress is not comparable to the time loss invested in the deleted thralls.
We had players who have only been on our server 3 days offering up anything they had to help people who lost all their thralls. They understood how devastating the loss was.
Whoever you think you are standing up for only exists in your world. Not a single person on our server was against a roll back because they understand the value of a few hours, compared to months/years.
Never said you donât have a right to be angry. All Iâm saying is that if a rollback is to occur, it must happen soon or not at all. Donât expect them to resort to what is in essence a lite server wipe if this goes on for longer than a few days.
You could not possibly be more wrong if you tried. You can try the gaslighting all you want, but if you can magically produce an undead hyena or undead monstrosity, please tell me how. Not to mention a Blade of the Adventurer that is STR based. And I am sure the entire community would rally around those that lost something in a rollback. They would not have lost purge only thralls, since thee purge window has not yet opened. It would be less impactful for the ENTIRE player base to roll back tonight. You are speaking for maybe less than 5% of the player base and i guarantee this thrall glitch affected 70 to 80% of the current player baseâŠ
You guys, this is ridiculous! I know shit happens and hopefully you guys will do a server roll back. This does not look very good on you guys if nothing is done to replace all of our items that have been lost that we cannot get back in time for, the next age of war update. I canât even possibly begin to explain all that was lost with this glitch, quite literally over five years worth of work between getting thralls, leveling up, thralls, getting all the material to make their epic armor, the legendary items that are now hard as hell to find. If you guys are able to do a server roll back, you are going to see a huge reduction in players, including myself.
What you fail to understand is that that 5% is going to grow exponentially as time goes on. A rollback is going to be a LOT less appealing a week from now. Thatâs why it must happen very soon. Otherwise you are going to find your support dwindling to nothing quicker than Battlefield 2042âs player count.
Multiples of people on the servers I play are not going to continue to play unless a rollback happens. I understand their sentiment. Luckily I had refreshed last night on a whim and lost nothing. But boy this isnât going to go well with folks if they donât get what they want.
Oh, I understand that fully, which is why sooner rather than later. I know people right now are trying to grab replacement thralls, The longer the wait, the worse the pain for everyone. Just bite the bullet, do a roll back, toss out a double XP event and enough Crom coins to cover a battlepass and most people will understand. Stuff happens, we get it. But this dithering will be the death of the game.
@Ignasi Please, I beg you to consider a rollback. My clan had a valued friend pass away early this year and we had thralls on our roster that he had trained and named that we kept in honor of him and now all that we had left of his time with us is gone!
A thrall âraptureâ happening on what might as well be the eve of âGod Bubble Removalâ? No way a PvP player doesnât have their jimmies rustled. I canât imagine getting stressed out trying to rebuild a semblance of a security force in half a month when real life is a thing because Funcom has yet to do a rollback (going by the discussions over rollbacks, the unlikelihood of one happening increases at escape velocity ie. itâs probably never happening past the time of me posting this).
But hey, I guess people will still have their Lone Fisherman on their Turanian Stove that costs more than the Treasures of Turan pack.
They do. Itâs not a question. Back when there was a spate of hacking through an exploit that someone found in their code and hackers roamed servers in giant toons, they rolled back the most affected servers.
So they can do a rollback and theyâve done it before.
It wouldnât be hard, it would be impossible. Those thralls and all their inventory were deleted from the game database by the decay code. Each thrall has unique stats that arenât kept anywhere except in the database (and in-memory while the server is running), and each item in their inventory might have had different modification kits (e.g. master weapon fitting) and different durability.
The only way to âundeleteâ is by restoring the game database from a backup.
OK look, I do not play on officials so this does not affect me in any way so take this for what it is worth. But in all honesty, there is nothing to evaluate.
Evaluation complete. An error was made when updating the summer decay timers. There is nothing left do discuss or to evaluate. The course of action is plain and simple. Roll back the official servers as soon as possible to reduce the impact this has caused, and the impact on anything that has been done since this has happened. There is absolutely nothing else that can be done. And the fact that you expect people to have to wait yet another day until Monday is rather insulting. But again, I do not play on officials so my pets / thralls are fine.
That does not mean I do not have any empathy for my fellow Exiles though. This needs to be corrected in the only logical way possible and by the most expedient means possible. There is a reason why people have such negative views of Funcom as a company regardless of what good they may do, and things like this are why. To sit here and say, a day AFTER the problem has become an issue, that âwell we know about it and itâs very obvious what the cause is but we still need to look into it and figure out what we are going to do about it and you are still going to have to wait another day or more to find out what we decided onâ is why people do not trust you as a company. Quick decisive action to resolve issues like this when they occur is what people want to see and well, they do not (if they even receive any communication at all).
i have nearly 3 years on an official server with now no thralls/pets/mounts, no gear for all these sad lost things, and no weapons or saddles⊠Official server # 1504
please help us funcom
Does anyone know what percentage of Exiles serverâs are affected and what regions? Just wondering how many serverâs would need to be rolled back. Condolences to everyone who has lost their thralls
