Return of Cultural DLCs?

Will we ever see them again? Honestly, without them I am beginning to lose interest in the game. Mods can only take me so far since there’s limits to how many you can have before game performance starts taking a hit. The Cultural DLCs were always fun and at the right price point. And we still have SO MANY cultures to go! At the very LEAST we need Cimmerian, Nordheimer, Stygian, Black Kingdoms and Shemite cultural DLCs!

Other DLCs I’d LIKE to see…
A really LARGE selection of hairstyles for men and women.
A mounts and pets DLC with lots of different tack for the mounts!
A farming DLC with lots of placeable deco farm equipment and plants. I need a vineyard! LOL
And lastly…a SAILING DLC! Give us longships, galleons, the Stygian ships from IoS with plain and different colored sails, fishing boats, a decadent Stygian barge and lots of pier deco and some more PIRATIN’ OUTFITS! The boats don’t have to actually sail (tho that would be amazing but my understanding is that the game probably won’t support it) but I do want to be able to get INSIDE them and deco them.

But seriously FC, bring back the $10 DLCs in whatever form! We miss them!

Been thinking the same thing myself recently. One thing I would like to see in any future cultural DLC would be some move storage skins and options. I would also love to see a Chest of Drawers and Barrels added as new storage options. Furthermore, while we now have Eldarium chests, which is a great start, we still only the one type of Cupboard. So ideally I would also like to see some culturallu reskinned chests and cupboards in a future DLC pack.

Finally, this maybe just a ‘me’ problem, but much of the new furniture and placeables which have been coming out in DLCs feel a bit too…‘civilized’ for my tastes. My character is a barbarian, not a nobleman. Some corresponding placeables would be amazing. For example, I have requested some more variety in fur and pelt rugs before.

Actually, got another one, a delightfully more contentious one. I would like to see a Crom goodies and artifacts DLC pack. Leave the decision as to whether or not such things are in our games to the individual players. If we want them we can buy them, if we dont want them, then dont buy them. More Crom goodies please!

For CROM!! :mountain_snow: :metal:

Very much agreed. Especially for folks like me and @Croms_Faithful on console with 0 access to the mods you mentioned. And I’m definitely all for Cimmerian, Nordheimer, and Crom packs!

I’d love some more dlcs! I can never have too many armor choices, and I really enjoy trying to mix and match the different building types to try to find ways they complement each other visually

Don’t quote me on this, but I’m pretty sure I’ve seen someone at Funcom say they’re definitely planning to do more DLCs in the future.

I personally wouldn’t hold my breath for a new one any time soon though, since I expect that Siptah would have kept everyone pretty occupied until fairly recently.

Though I totally agree with @Alexandria and would love to see and pay $$$ for another DLC (Yes FC, you can actually make more money on a DLC than a fake “expansion”), I also agree that FC has devolved into an “all for Siptah and none for all” mode.
I spend my days logging in and refreshing now, just waiting and hoping that Funcom will get over their " We need to nerf the game so Xbox and Console players with 4 GB of ram can play it" obsession.
Sorry Xbox/Console players, nothing personal.

@JJDancer, Not at all, not at all. I remember before we got Siptah update in one of the hundreds posts about when consoles will have Siptah, if I am not mistaken @Taemien said once something like" I can hear your screams if this update comes to you ", :joy::joy::joy:. Prophecy…
Now about storage barrels that @Croms_Faithful said,
YES
YES
YES
Imagine a Bar inside the house that each one has different boose…
Awesome.

Right there with you brother Nord. There is just no dedicated decorations available to Crom devotees on consoles. I have even tried to persuade them to add them into the Admin Panel and I still cant seem to get a bite. And like yourself, Im also all for Cimmerian, Nordheimer and Crom packs.

I’m a Howard purist so I’m not on the bandwagon for Crom religious items BUT even I kinda think a brooding Crom statue would be pretty cool. And if crazy Cimmerians wanna worship it and invite dooms upon themselves well… okay! LOL But we definitely need a Cimmerian DLC. And yes they need a religion. Because Cimmerians did not just worship Crom. Howard made a list of the Cimmerian gods and they all correspond with Celtic deities.

List of the Gods of Cimmeria
Crom
Badb
Morrigan
Macha
Nemain, war-goddesses
Diancecht
Dagda
from Hyborian Names and Countries

Personally I think it would be AMAZING to have The Morrigan, warrior goddess, as a fully fleshed out in game religion for Cimmerians!

Do you have a link to that? I can’t seem to find it anywhere, and I wasn’t aware Howard wrote that. It seems more like something one of the pastiche writers would have made.

I do hope so.
And with more revealing armours with good looking headgear. Male and Female obviously.

We have enough full covered armours that look terrible like the voidforge dragonbone ones and many others. What’s the point of character creation if you cover all the pretty characters? Right?

We are barbarians after all, not afraid for a little blood.

@Porsenna it’s one of Howard’s. You can find it in “The Coming of Conan the Cimmerian”, a collection of Howard’s Conan stories

Do you have a link? I’ve read most of what Howard wrote via online sources, since so much of it (all of it?) is now public domain, and I live in a country where it’s not readily available. (At least not in a language I can read, if at all lol)

If not an official religion at least some giant statues of various gods would be awesome. I personally have a temple to Poseidon but had to use the statue of the warrior fighting the Octopus monster. While I really like this statue it does not compare to a statue of Poseidon/Neptune.

I have used the Del Rey paperback publications of :

The Coming of Conan the Cimmerian

ISBN: 0-345-46151-7

The Bloody Crown of Conan

ISBN 0-345-46152-5

The Conquering Sword of Conan

ISBN 0-345-46153-3

Edited by Patrice Louinet and illustrated by Mark Schultz

I chose these editions because they are in their original versions and in the order Howard wrote them. These are not rewrites by other authors. If you are looking to read the stories, especially if this is your first time, I highly recommend these editions.

Sadly, off the top of my head I do not recall which one contains the notes I referenced. But that’s the source and it’s pure Howard.

Editing to add: Ah yes it is from The Coming of Conan the Cimmerian as @Nord-Oskilgetinn says. I used these volumes to create The Conan Lore Project which you can peruse at your leisure here: Conan Exiles RP

Statues of gods in the cultural DLCs would be so awesome. I’ve always been disappointed that they didn’t include any. There is what is apparently a bull headed god statue in the Turan DLC and I love it but it does not, as far as I can tell, correspond to any god Howard ever mentioned, let alone a god of Turan.
