With update 2.8, fence stacking is no longer possible. So what’s the new method of base defense? Aside from being a sneaky sneak and body vaulting somewhere.
Find a cave. Plug the entrance(s) with vaults surrounded by legal foundations and wrapper. Bedroll in, Map out.
Vault Boxes everywhere. 6x6s as far as the eye can see. (Brief summary from PC and PS4 PvP expeditions.)

Yeesh… That sounds awful… I’d prefer fence stacking. At least stacked bases could look nice

Balance for raiding is a slippery slope.
When bombs were weaker people complained.
Then complained that buildings were too weak when bombs got a buff.
Stacking only became popular because of the imbalance between raiding
and protection from being raided.
We need something that can even things out, make off lining not be worth the effort.
And on line raiding into true PVP
But how?, people would abuse timers to prevent off lining.
Server admins? people are screaming abuse of the system now.
Back in EA you needed to be careful of other peoples bases, because their archers would cut you down. That wasn’t a fool proof system either, because a good archer could kill the NPC archers from out of NPC range.
I don’t have the answers, I just recognize the problem.

Defence is broken. You cant build a decent defense without getting ban otherwise be wipe. The only solution toxic players or people that like the game would come up with is being sneaky and hiding bodies.
Game is dying on officals a lot of people I know are giving up because cant build a actual base to defend or to many reports for any little things. In short Karens re looking for anything.
Hopefully with 3.0 we will see a change, who knows but hey ark is doing great. They even have a primitive + side if you hate tech stuff. I think since they made this patch we will see a lot of changes, possibly be able to build out in the open in the future and actually have a good defense. Hope is all we have

They have been told what? I do not think you are talking about the same abuse I mean, but we will see. If you say they will hurt more feelings I say bring it on. The more the better at this stage. Because then they might end up killing pvp sooner instead of dragging the whole process down for another 3 or 4 years.
Seriously what can they terribly do to the pvp community what they did not already have done to us? Everything else at this point is just a little drop they drain from an almost emptied out pool.

The quicker they have to close down officials, the better IMO.
If they closed them down tonight, the game would be 100% better off for it.

Live behind a drawbridge

I hit up old haunts where I have 60-level toons for the second night last night. 20/40 and 13-16/40 online. They are playing like it’s the apocalypse. Hombres Ultimos (broken-Spanish last men standing) seem to be “them with legacy fence stacking.”
One guy was completely demolished down to his last vault. He was physically defending a 6x6 vault box that had been upfitted with drawbridges. It’s like how we used to fight before the Wipe.
plenty of places to drawbridge in the jungle that are perfectly viable.
I can kinda agree with you there, but if you build it correctly The Dam is not Sag-Able. Most of the jungle is susceptible to Sag and Yogurt.

I prefer to use Mitra on the dam bases =P absolutely shreds the base apart. Something about the stomp damage going through the mesh and just wiping everything inside is very broken. Works the exact same on deserters gutter as well. Summon Mitra on the southside on the right hole entrance get his foot as far in as you can… stomp. you’ll wipe a hole all the way to the centre of the gutter loot bags falling from the sky.
My favourite base location is 06 on the docks. drawbridge 4 sides uptop, yog bubble 24/7. Building around the entire dock making multiple kill boxes full of teimos and archers… even if they treb and break your anti climb to the drawbridge they’re gonna have a hell of a time trying to climb up

Yeah, but the guilty always claim innocence - just ask all the people in jail. I think this is no different. I’m sure you’ve seen me claim to have scoped and documented nearly 30 cases, and before you became active here again I shared and pointed out those details as well. So all of this screaming is just noise and can safely be ignored. In this group I doubt it will be but it can and probably should be - ignored. Or if not ignored then just a simple explanation: “Oh yeah, see in that screen shot how you’ve violated X, Y, and Z policies? That.”
