I have not seen a node of star metal since the large patch, about 3 days. No one on the server has seen it either(1940 PVE-C). With the recent changes to include star metal in almost anything late game, this is game breaking for me. I can not repair/craft any gear/tools that I use at my tier. I am forced to used hardened steel/obsidian which are inferior. Also, I can not craft any new sets of late game gear for my thralls or myself. Anyone else seeing this on their server? Is this recognized as an issue by the Devs? Are you working on a fix currently? Any feedback would be great. Thanks in advance for your hard work.
Thanks for your reply Septimus. Has anyone heard if the Dev team has responded in the forum to this concern. Recognizing the issue, so we know it’s on the list to be fixed?
I’ve seen them, but they aren’t smoking meteors anymore. You don’t have to break them open, which is nice, but it’s harder to find them because you can’t look for the plume of smoke.
Just look for the blue rock on the ground and you should find it.
Thanks to everyone for their responses, I’ll go on the hunt for the blue ones for now. I’ve heard they disappear very quickly if down cracked open, so wish me luck
Throw a demon fire orb at it, watch it take no damage. Change angle thinking you hit it wrong and throw another, no damage. Try a different angle because why not and throw, no damage. Try a 4th time thinking you’re a dumbass and can’t hit a stationary object and throw, no damage.
I’ve been hunting meteors for the last several days. The only ones I’ve been able to get are the ones that have fell and I’ve been able to maintain line of sight to. If they fall even close by you can’t find them. The two I got fell practically at my feet which is the only way I was able to get them. Both still has their shells. After blowing one up it disappeared, but was actually still there…just invisible. I struck at thin air and still got the ore. Since then, I’ve spent about 6 night/day cycles waiting and nothing has fell. This was as of yesterday, 7/10/18.
People are forgetting they are taking a month off so the likelihood of this being fixed before august is not good. i just find it ironic they nerf silent armor so that it needs star metal, the new dlc weapons need star metal and no one is around to fix it lol.
Standard practice for Conan Exiles, it’s been like this the whole way through early access.
It’ll get fixed (or they say this is how it’s supposed to be) eventually. We should all be used to shenanigans like this by now and it’s almost become an aspect of survival in having to fight the game changes as you play.
Embrace it or you’ll be frustrated as long as you are playing this game.
