Stop the constant FU***** rain!

I’m building near the mounds specifically for the dreary effect. Love it!

I agree. Love the place, love my waterside mansion…
the blue guys can be a pain though… sometimes they don’t exist, the next there’s more than Chinese in Chinatown…
The difference being Chinatown rocks… great food, pork buns… my weakness…
But I’m curious… was that lake swim Able? Now you walk on water, I’m sure I used to have to swim…

Rain is magical too. Magically boring! Entering through stone walls…

Allow me to add my plea for LESS RAIN. It’s soooooooooooooooo annoying! As is the fact that everything INDOORS ends up looking WET as well! Seriously, this is awful and amateurish. Fix it already. And if for some strange reason you CAN’T figure out how to make it NOT look like everything indoors is wet whenever it rains…that’s all the more reason to REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF RAIN!

For PC folks who don’t like the rain, this mod was recently released to deal with the issue:

I play Official Servers on the PS4 and so far haven’t had it raining indoors, though, I build with T2 or higher in the Highlands and Jungle. Maybe the tier of building is related to the occurrence of indoor rain as I know you can still get wind effects in T1 structures in the desert. As for it’s frequency, I don’t notice it going on so much or for so long in my games. I do have this suggestion regarding the rain: cisterns. Give us a recipe for cisterns similar to water wells but perhaps requiring less materials since they would be dependent on precipitation rates.

Some people just don’t like rain. Some people don’t like desert. Some don’t like snow. The only problem I see is not enough difficulty in non-rainy bioms. Fortunately, Sepameru is getting a big upgrade in difficulty, so you can move out to sunny skies.

I like the rain and snow, so I prefer the North, but I am of Norwegian heritage, so it soothes me. Sadly, there aren’t many exiles in the North, so we are missing out on a lot of names up there.

I wish the bioms were all much larger, with plenty of room for multiple difficulties in each one. At least now, we can get top level in two places. Maybe one day they will add more top level pockets.

Keep the rain I say. It is really well done and feels so right.

Alternatively, for those who want to keep the rain, yet get rid of the wetness effect:

I’m sure there’s a server settings command for it for a permanent fix, but it can be changed manually online by Admin:
It’s in the Admin Panel under the Cheats (Self) tab to the far right. Look for a checkbox labeled ‘Set Weather Severity’. It is set to 50 by default. Just change to 0 and hit apply. The weather usually clears up in minutes.

However, I noticed I have to do it a lot while playing as the rain likes to return often.

The jungle near constantly storms on my server which makes it rather dark in the daylight hours. So it’s like a pseudo-night all day and the nights are pitch black.

Unsure but I think it dims light sources too.
