Stuff that needs to be added

We need boats to travel and to live on. We need tsunamis to be added to isle of siptah just like the desert storm in exiled islands. We need height slider for accurate measurements. We need body/face customizations. We need characters to say quotes. We need more voices. We need a new map. We need to be able to build underground bases or create caves for bases. I dont want make bases out in the open. We need the ability to team up with npcs instead of only just enslaving them. Romance with NPCs. We need to have a difficulty level where sometimes our thralls would be betray us and try to kills us. We need a vendhayan map.

Im willing to buy these expansion for sure. Did I ever expect this stuff for free?? Did I say that? IT gives them something to do. Of course they dont work on my time or dont have to do the thing I want. These are just some ideas.

This one admires your chutzpa.

And even agrees that more weather anomalies would be a boon in a game that seems to be increasingly forgetting the survival aspect.

However, some parts are such massive infrastructure rewrites that they would be much more feasible in a sequel rather than an expansion.

More customization within existing systems is a reasonable ask.
However, romance, or really any personality for NPCs, is a major reinvisoning that would require structure not already present in game. Even calling what exists dialogue is a stretch, it’s triggered monologue sans branching options.

One issue with major setting alterations being pay gated is the mixed nature of servers.
If, for example, Tsunamis are part of an expansion, would servers then sub note Siptah calm water and Siptah Tsunami warning?

Digging is extremely unlikely with the current mesh system that exists. It would require a rebuild of most maps.
More caves would be possible, but only in existing no build zones, which sorta defeats the purpose.
Adding cellars, doors that lead to other areas off map might work for “underground” areas, and some mods have tried that.

Again, while not a disagreeable wishlist in concept, many portions are far more of a redesign than an expansion would be able to carry.

As far as new maps go…
This one wants to wholeheartedly agree, a new map would be grand.
Then this one looks at how sadly unfinished and unpolished Siptah is (and will most likely remain for all time) and realizes that is beyond the capabilities of those currently at the helm.
The system Conan Exiles uses is a very heavily modified Unreal 4 and those who created the custom assets are long since moved on.

We need a proper update on crafter, simular to combat thralls whit levels and gear them up, also for pets, now whit no armor/HP or dps most off them is just a block in hte limetis armylist. Or have a separat list for them!

And make it so you can give thralls javelins so they use them proper and not just put them offhand…

Let me ask you a serious question. Do you in all honesty think that any of these things NEED to be added? Or is this simply of list of things you would LIKE to be added, because that is a whole other topic. But sure, let’s go along with what NEEDS to be added.

Sorry, but this is not a need at all. You can already build you own.

For what purpose? To just systematically and routinely destroy any base built near the shoreline? To to sweep away any thalls / pets placed near the shoreline and insta kill them (and any players in the area as well). Sorry, I see no need for this at all.

So that’s 2/2 in the not needed category. Not looking to good but lets keep going.

We have that already? Have you never made a character? Or are you asking for MORE options? You need to be clearer in your requests.

To further divide the players even more than they already are? To make maps feel even more empty than they do now? I mean, there are already custom mod maps available, how many maps do you want?

Yeah, so you don’t want, that doesn’t make it a NEED.

This is the Hyborian Age. You aren’t going to just walk in and charm them to side with you for what? It is a brutal savage time and in the exiled lands things are insanely more brutal and savage. No, if you walk up to a random stranger they are going to kill you because they are going to assume you are going to kill them. So you either enslave them or you slaughter them.

This is possibly the first decent suggestion so far, though I am not sure if he devs could implement it in the current system. Perhaps they could but honestly I have no idea.

Why would we need a map based on one nation which is mentioned but never visited in any of the Robert E. Howard stories? What would you base this map on? I would support armor, weapons, in game NPC’s but a map??? Hell, the exiled lands isn’t even based on any one specific nation, nor is Siptah and that is on the map off the coast of Stygia. So why would we need a map specifically based on only one specific nation?

I hate to say it but I fail to see how any of these items are actually needed at all. Hell, only one of them is even a decent idea (maybe two but you were so vague on it it’s impossible to tell). I feel a change in the title of this thread is in due course.

Lets see, were can we go with these lovely troves.

They already updated crafting thralls not that long ago so I fail to see them doing so again any time soon but in all honesty, I am not opposed to them being updated again. I prefered the old Armorsmith thralls over the current ones, and I thought (and even posted) that Blacksmith thralls should be the same way. But they decided to make ALL thralls regardless of being from noob river or from the mounds of the dead just as good (crafter wise) instead. No insentive to actually get new ones at all now.

However, leveling crafters up and equiping them with armor? No thanks. Maybe equiping them with vanity armor to make them not look so…bleh. But not leveling EVEN MORE THRALLS UP FROM 0 - 20 Just no!

I am not entirely sure what you are getting at with pets because your words seem to just… become nonesense at some point. BUT…Funcom claims to be doing an overhaul of the entire pet system. So… :woman_shrugging:

I have honestly never given a thrall a javelin so I don’t know what they do with it. But if their usage of the weapon is not working correctly then fixing that should be looked into. Submit a bug report on it!

There isn’t enough water in the Exiled Lands, and there are lore reasons at Siptah why large boats can’t survive. What I would support would be very small rafts that can carry a player and a Heroic treasure so you can bring your treasures over waterways without needing to construct bridges.

The Maelstrom is the stand storm equivalent, however, I always support more hazardous weather.

I assume you mean for player characters here. Yeah, it is weird that the only time our characters say anything is when selecting the voice in character creation. However, I don’t want my character talking on her own, I would want there to be:

  1. a randomized taunt button
  2. a speech menu like emotes
  3. a list of chat box commands (though this wouldn’t work for console unless/until they get text chat)

A new map is not likely to happen. It is one of the most expensive additions they can create, and Siptah did not seem to do as well as they had expected. A new map also does not really fit with the new monetization model.

Conan is not a voxel game like 7 Days to Die or Wurm, so transformable terrain is not realistic, especially when they have already worked to implement undermesh countermeasures to prevent people from building subterranean bases. There are already various locations you can use.

You can rescue them, but yeah, I think being able to recruit followers through religion would be a good alternative:

Maybe if there was some kind of loyalty system that allowed you to take certain actions to increase loyalty while other conditions might slowly decrease it, but that is probably something that would have needed to be implemented a long time ago and is not worth adding at this point.

The crafter did not get an update more an downgrade and (spec on the old map) made them all lock the same whit the lv1 uniform.

I aded extra, im not the same that made the topic. And try to be abit more posittiv till new ides…

We need to clothe our crafters. I;ve been playing in this barbie doll house for too long to see area specific clothed t4’s go back to fiber. At least bring it back to where we could get SOME thralls on the benches that were cool looking. Oh and then to romance them like the OP said ;D

A yes, some times is easy to missunderstand stuff in text, was abit new awake myself. A yes i understand was abit simular names.

I think giving crafting thralls would be a great idea. Something besides dull outfits.

A few thrall armour slots on workbenches would be a nice addition for sure.

A thrall loyalty system and the possibility of betrayal is the one interesting thing on this list.

Of course, my immediate impulse as someone with some technical skill is not to beg Funcom for it, but just to go out and make it myself.

Edit: Still, nothing here is really a “need”, but a want. And even then, almost all of these ideas are, to be frank, either superfluous or just plain bad.

Well whats is needed to ad on this old game? Guess most that whats realy “need” is alredy in the game but whats need´s for the game to develop is another thing.
