(Suggestion) PvE => PvP weapons. Possible fix

I find it funny how people think that wearing t6 makes u some sort of super human with massive advantages.

On my necro I lose about 20% prot when I use t6 gear and some other miniscule stats
But my dot does 10 more dmg per tick and everybody loses their minds…

This is literally no different from when Khitai came and dps classes used khitai gear instead of pvp gear. and tanks used pvp gear. Besides tanks been op in this game since always, time for them to take some hits for first time in their miserable lives lol

To be fair when khitai came out at least the scarlet circle mage set had about as much prot as the pvp one and much more damage so it was actually better than the pvp set.

Meanwhile i would love to see somebody use more than 1-2 pieces of t6 armour and not get deleted every time he shows his face in every single type of decently organized pvp.

But if we’re balancing around the average aoc puber, then i hope rangers get nerfed fast because they’re insanely OP cause it’s really hard to keyboard turn myself to them.

And deuk, I actually agree that the pvp stats on the pvp stuff should be replaced with “normal” stats, maybe except the prot stat.

It’s clear from your statement though that we differ fundamentally from opinion here. We will not come to agreement. So can stop the discussion. We can only state our views to funcom and hope they make wise decisions.

My motive for this is because PvP players are obviously interested in playing PvP and will progress in this naturally, however they are not always as interested in doing PvE activities and will therefore not progress here which leads to a natural disadvantage which in my view is undesirable.

No, you want to see more people entering PvP in s** gear causing free kills.
Neither t4 nor t5 weapons are causing any imbalance. RF rings do , t6 (despite of what Delie is saying, he is still using t6 95% of the time) gear does on some classes(necro and sin only probably)
But t4-t5 at least allow PvE guys who want to try PvP be somewhat competetive

I’ll explain again. I think there is no harm in PvE gear being somewhat competative in PvP, so I think we align there. But it should not be better then PvP gear for the purpose of PvP.

I dont want to go in detailed yes/no discussions on which gear is better for which class. Let’s leave the balancing to funcom.

No one of you even imagine that OP said - nerf t3 crafted weapons. It used for RMT now cause of its boe status and overpowered hits in pvp.
Pvp10 is easier to obtain then t3 craft or t5.
Thats why pve must be pve only and pvp pvp only too.

Well i don’t care which one is better if they’re all about the same power, i rather people not have power advantage because they haven’t grinded the pvp events with shop xp potions. So i will give you a visual representation of what you’re saying, asume there’s 2 BS fighting pvp8 vs pvp10.

Look at that dirty pve weapon having a whole 0.4 base dps and 150 combat rating (and some other stats) more than the pvp10, so much imbalance.

Good thing we can force him to use the pvp weapon, so much more balance now with a 7.2 base dps difference and some other lower stats also.

But sure, give the pvp10s 1-2 more dps so they can be best in slot for pvp, don’t think anybody would mind that, expecially if you buff the pvp1 and 2.

it will take me 1hr to obtain t3 craft(may be a bit more), teach me how to obtain pvp10 weapon that fast

Or you mean collecting mats for t3, finding 23ppl to run t3 craft for 2 weeks for 2 ingots for you, part of this ppl must have Ibis swords, like that? For 1 hour? Okay.

There’s like 2 t3 crafted weapons that i can think are better than anything else, which is sogoth because it bugged, so we don’t really need to nerf it, just fix it and the necro/demo staff that offers a lot of defense for having lower magic damage, which i’m not even sure what you’re supposed to do with, without making it virtually useless for anything in the game.

And you will buy mats for nothing? Or you farm gold for it for a hour? Find guild in mmorpg with 300 ppl is quite a challenge. And you think that guild will craft you item on a fresh join?

I didnt say someone will craft for YOU( bet no1 will) finding a guild is hard? quit game then the fact is - for some people its easier to farm pvp 10 for some - t3 craft, but weapons itself doesnt cause any imbalance(apart of sogoth ofc and may be stuff like sinix mentioned).
but you prefer to cry on forum rather than do something to get those

I would agree with you but you have full rf rings on all your characters; you’re already doing it. 2rf rings are a million times more advantageous than a t5 weapon.

Fun fact is that… doing rf one time can take more time than full t5 or t6 run :smiley:
Never do rf outside of the reset day or u be stuck with the “raid finder” generation who cant kill the bosses without x5 buff

I do have rf rings, and yes, I farmed them to be able to compete in PvP. But what I have or dont have is not important for the discussion. I would not mind if they would get nerfed, together with all other PvE gear.
The discussion is if rf rings and other pve gear should be more powerful then pvp gear, for the purpose of PvP.

We need to discuss the actual problem. Its not that a pvp 10 cannot compete with a pvp 10 using t5/t6. Its the brand new players that stand literally 0% chance versus even the worst players in the game. If you believe there should be power progression in pvp I would love to see you create a brand new character and once you hit 80 participate in some pvp. I guarantee you will stop playing that new character. Its just not any fun.

Why should one player be given a wiffle ball bat and the other a top of the line aluminum bat? Do you enjoy playing a completely different game from your opponent?

The ceiling in pvp should be skill not time.

Give insane -PVP stats to all pve gear greater than t3, hand out full t1 set to all 80s, and nerf pvp t3/t2 to be closer in line with pvp t1.

there should be t4 pvp gear alrdy(+like 3% on t3 stats) and then just buffing t1/t2 be closer to t3 will fix the gear issue I guess.
But bigger problem with new toons are AAs t1 pvp gear is absolutely fine as it as on most classes. zero AAs- not
