I find it ironic that they’ve added a meteor event when regular starmetal meteors seem to be not working.

and this meteor event is hit or miss when it works too!
Saw the meteor shower, was easily within render distance of where it landed…same place it landed that I harvested before I might add…and then when i get there it’s just that purple mist and no meteors.
the black and white dyes plus legendary repair kits are nice though, when there is meteors!
Could be that you just suck at searching 
I’ve been bookmarking fall locations and they seem pretty consistent.
I would probably like the event if it didn’t make the game entirely unplayable due to lag. I’m playing a solo/lan game on PS4, and the game is, as I already said, entirely unplayable.

I won’t be playing Conan until the event is finished. My boyfriend, who I play with, has colour blindness and vision issues and the constant twilight is giving him bad headaches. Also the server I play on has had to change all their settings because the loot drops were screwy.

By the way for anyone who is interested:
They seem to be a little off of full hours.
For me they spawn at roughly :01, :21 and :41. Every 20 minutes.
After I asked in global chat, it seems all meteors fall at the same time.
It’s not their exact position being the same, it’s rather same whole areas where they may fall.
I guess thats intended to give everyone the possibility to get some.
Also maxing render/sight distance in video settings helps a lot with them.

This is awesome, I’m loving it.
It’s not too dark for me in the desert, but I haven’t been travelling yet.
The suggestion to have made it only activate at night sounds better, though it was probably simpler to implement this way. And on the other hand, the permanent eeriness has a certain quality that would be lost if the day constantly interrupted it… it will feel pretty interesting when everything returns to normal after a week of eternal Halloween night. I don’t mind it for a week, though I’m less inclined to do any building. I’ll probably just put that on hold and do other stuff.
The meteors seem pretty OP lol. I’m not complaining though - it’s a cool event, something special and I’m just gonna roll with it.

I did think about those with colour blindness as well although i don’t have it I am getting eye strain
I love the event, but I have a major problem with it too. The drop rate is trivializing all world bosses, as the key drop rate is way way way over the top.

I really liked this type of night sky and darkness over the regular night. I think it would be really cool if something similar could replace the night time we have now. Minus the skull and purple torches, of course. As for the event itself though, if this is only one day I think the meteors are great. However, any longer and I think they’ll become too much.

I like the idea of the event, but the darkness is straining my eyes after only a few minutes, making it rather hard to play.

I’m on an official PvE and without this event White dye was pretty much off the table so it gets approval on that alone.
I don’t understand a lot of the private server complaints.

50 skeleton keys can easily end up being 50 Hanumans Gada. It means nothing to have keys in the truckload. Landslide farming killed that on static servers already, anyway. Seasonal servers will wipe this all off the map in due time.

So far I have gotten 12 Legendary repair kits. That’s a nice stock and makes the legendary weapon someone wanted to use an actual option now. I use Telith’s Sorrow. They are just a back up thing for me but I get that’s not always the case.

Dragon Fire powder is the true motherload in terms of time saving. I have 20 on day one so 140? That’s 7,000-14,000 steelfire if you had to make them, based on the thrall you have.

Star metal picks. I got 10. No idea what I am supposed to do with them but yea…
I don’t see anything else dropping as rare. Just knowing the system gets you star metal, demon blood, volatile glands. The remarkable part is, back to the black and white dye. They are the biggest hype items and they are 100% cosmetic so people don’t want OP. Legendary repair kits are nice but I wouldn’t consider them OP. Again, I’ve gotten 12. That makes one Legendary a viable main weapon. That’s a step in the right direction. I will continue to use Telith’s Sorrow. Having tested multiple builds from 10 to 50 strength I know it’s not as impacting as people make it out to be to have a few more points of damage.
The big drawback to this is as others have pointed out. The ambient blue takes so much off the table right now, grinding the event is all that is left. I went ‘back to business’ and tried thrall farming. It was a short trip.

I’d be able to give an opinion, if I could actually play the game during this event, but of course it is basically unplayable on PS4, it lags and then freezes and crashes after about 10 minutes.
Having played further, the loot is just insanely over the top. I want to farm the meteors (it’s exciting and fun) but will have to ignore them until this is balanced. I’ll need to throw most of the loot I gathered away to avoid cheapening my game. Feels bad

Okay, what I have been able to experience, before things go to framerate hell, the meteor is nice to look at, when it’s running at normal speed.
Thank you funcom I didn’t even see this coming until I read the patch notes on Halloween so it’s a great surprise to me .me an my wife r both loving everything about the event thanks for the Halloween treat
Maybe new kind of potion?
Now that I can enjoy the event, thanks to an odd fix, I am enjoying it, although I’m puzzled why there is a potion called Potion of Endowment, it is rather obvious what it does though, despite that I haven’t used it yet
