If you’re playing on a PvE server and use this tactic to land claim, you’re in the wrong.
I was going to explore your specific server for science purpose ;).
…I mean this can easily be replicated.
“Tactical Camping” has effectively become the best way to kill anybody’s thralls regardless of what kind of server we’re taking about. It’s grieving, sure, but it’s possible.
For the werewolves demons you can opt out. Simply follow the blue light find the temple altar and talk to the woman and have yourself removed from the hunt. I was doing night stuff and the dang beasts kept attacking me every minute alone. Scared the soul out of me
There are no thralls to watch- they are all inside a place they cant get in.
Seems you’re already aware of the way the way players might grief or perhaps you just have no thralls outside. PvP maybe?
The point is more that there is a potential for great loss where there should not be and this was introduced by this update as an exploitable feature.
Any deflection of that would be denying a simple fact.
The were-hyenas only spawn when someone active in the hunt is near by. That is how they work.
I feel like you’re missing the point about the current ability of different player (not you) to just sit outside your base while you’re offline waiting for a Were-Hyena to spawn and commit genocide to any thralls that aren’t indoors.
Maybe not solved. If a player can glitch inside a base because of the “falling through floors” bug, then can’t they aggro a werehyena inside another player’s base?
I didn’t even consider that. I like to think like an exploiter to avoid chaos, but you’re right. This would be much harder to prevent with that glitch happening currently. Great addition.
Sorry to burst your bubble but have you forgotten there is a bug now that makes people warp inside floors or walls. They could warp inside yours…
The simple fact is that i havent lost any thralls in PVE to werewolf attacks- theres a fact for you.
Thats PVP not PvE
That’s confirmation bias. You and I are not the main characters, so don’t act like you’re the only one potentially effected.
Aware? I predicted it when it was on testlive. I’m agreeing it’s no accident.
I play everyday - trying to impose your opinion on some thing im not expereincing simply isnt true-
I have not lost any thralls to any werewolf because i left them outside.
As soon as this started happening to others- then the logical conclusion is to move them all inside especially when you have no spacing restrictions now.
I apologize, I misunderstood. These forums have people combatting me left and right over the smallest things-usually that of which is not the point of what I say. I mistook what you were saying. Thanks for the clarification.
The truth that it can be used is not an opinion… it’s a fact. A fact you nearly just agreed with.
That was the logical conclusion. Why, though?
Because it can be exploited.
In conjunction with the bug that @Lucas_of_Tanith mentioned, it put a lot of players at risk. Are you trying to sugarcoat the issue so developers don’t fix it? What is your play here?
Claiming an issue is not an issue is just coping. Pointing out the ways that a system can be broken leads to fixes being made. That’s my intent here.
OK , keep arguing with yourself as your getting into exploits and the weeds here.
Arent PvPers arguing that thralls are useless anyways?
I have not lost any thralls to any werewolf because i left them outside- Nuff said from my end .
Exploitation is the biggest problem with the were-hyenas as they stand. I’m in no weeds that this conversation shouldn’t be in.
If they can’t attack a were-hyena I guess they are!
Again, this sounds like you think you’re the only one at risk here. I haven’t lost them either. It’s about the issue, not the instance.
Would you care to tell us all your server? (Don’t actually) I’m sure posting out here feels really good right now given the bug at hand.
