Testlive Patch (25.08.2020) - Crash, exploit and UI fixes!

Greetings, Exiles of the Testlive lands!

We’re releasing a new patch aimed to iron out remaining crashing issues, as well as server browser woes. We’re also including a couple of exploit fixes as well as a fix to crafting stations.

Thanks again for your ongoing support and feedback. Stay safe!

Please remember that updates can mess with your installed mods. We suggest taking a backup of your current database before updating to any new patch if you have mods installed.

Currently Known Issues

  • This is a work in progress build and as such, it presents fixes and features that might not be complete or working as intended. Please report any bugs or issues you might encounter in this patch to help us release it in its most stable version.

  • Fixed a number of client and server crashes.
  • Fixed a number of crashes upon joining a server via friends list.

  • Fixed an exploit regarding god bubbles.
  • Improved protection against network attacks.

  • Fixed an issue that caused servers to show no active players.
  • Fixed an issue that would cause a server to list its ping as 9999 or ???.
  • Official servers would sometimes be listed twice in the server browser. This is now fixed.
  • The Close option in the Friend List tab should no longer be cut off if playing in German. #spellchekkerteamstrikesagainhoohah

Separate TestLive Product on Steam

We heard your input regarding the inconvenience with having to switch back and forth between the main game and our TestLive servers. To make it easier for you and because we really value your testing and feedback, we added a separate product for the TestLive server on Steam.

If you own Conan Exiles on Steam, you should now see a separate Product called “Conan Exiles - Testlive Client” in your library which gives you the option to install an additional instance of the game specifically for the TestLive servers. Please be aware that this will prompt you for a full additional installation.

We are aware that not everyone wants install or has space for two full installations. For those of you who don’t want to play through the additional TestLive Client, you can still access the TestLive servers through our old method.

The beta watermark with revision number is still absent from the bottom right corner of the screen. Is this intended?

this patch is best  crafting fixes , now everything what is smelted crafts instantly . 3000 hardened bricks in 3 seconds  not bad hehehehehe best fix ever only needed T4 purge thrall

Not all the time working, but yesterday i maked base expansion on t3 just because of 3000+ hardened bricks in 3 seconds

this bug is there since a very long time , I don’t know what triggers it , but when you have 500+ oil in firecamp or any bench that use oil / bark , to work will act strangely from time to time and insta cook or smelt or tan all what’s inside in a few seconds , I lost a lot of good fishes ( improved fishtraps) with this bug turning them instantly to cooked fish then putrid meat , in the other hand when it happens on smelting stations it feels better but dirty like an exploit … ( aslo the 1000 oil I have turn almost instantly to 520 ~ 550 oil remaining )

so now I always turn on fire before putting my fish to cook , at least the only thing I loose is the ~400 oil

How long before this becomes live??

please don’t harm again game, take time to release it, we dont need more glitch/bug , please fix first human body vault (corpse disapearing with full inventory at each server restart allowing to hide your assets), fix first ability to go outside green wall, fix first ability to build outside of green wall, fix first ability to build & go undermesh. balance weapon (so many weapons nerfed to death so they are totally useless), revert for thralls to previous version (before you nerfed them), you nerfed thrall because of a thrall pork bug !!! a game is not supposed not be balanced because of bug…

Hey @bbtech,

From the original thread:

The “bug” being that the revision number is also shown on PC Live, not just TestLive (correct, @Jim1?).

This was fixed in the June 29, 2020 PC hotfix:

Removed build revision call-out from the bottom corner of the screen.(1)

Do you no longer see a revision number on TestLive? (this could be unintended);

They’re seperate clients, but it’s possible TestLive had its revision number removed as well, since it’s running a version in which the revision number has been removed for Live. I personally don’t know if TestLive is supposed to display this revision number, though.

I believe this test patch has the under-mesh/green wall fix in it. Saw some posts where people are reporting dying from out of play are in caves. So tweaking before they can release it i am sure.

Hopefully as long as needed to avoid major bugs.

That bug exists since a very long time, works with any bench or workplace, as far as i have seen, it doesn’t “insta-craft” everything but reduces the crafting time as if the thrall were there since the begining

Correct. The revision number is not being displayed in the Testlive client.

I personally don’t know if TestLive is supposed to display this revision number, though.

It used to display the revision number, which is why I asked instead of just calling it a bug.

would be a good surprise if so, but as nothing said about that in patch note, let’s hope you are right
