Dear Funcom team!
I have the impression that you sometimes get some negative criticism in some forums or on social media - and maybe this harsh criticism is justified to some extent. Unfortunately, I also have the impression that people miss out on praising you for your good work. This post aims to make up for it:
Thank you for the new storm glass tileset!
Start building a storm glass citadel on an official PvEC server and I’m really happy with the new tileset. Good work.
Who else here shares my enthusiasm for the new tileset?

This set is really great, just like what you would expect based on the last reinforced stonebrick set but more.
TBH the best part of CE is BUILDING. It beats every foe in this genre easily imho.

I like the set except for 2 things: the circular window is set in foundation-think walls. I thought I’d be able to replace existing walls with some of those, but nope. It’d take a complete remodel. And tho it’s not specific to these pieces alone, it kills me that it still rains thru the glass ceiling pieces. My throne room just doesn’t seem like a throne room when it raining inside

That’s kind of funny. It’s not raining anywhere for me.
In my opinion, the new tileset elements can be used to build something more delicate. Buildings that are supposed to be visually appealing and functional at the same time no longer have to be designed in such a brutalist architectural way.
I’m still in the middle of the building phase. So the citadels are construction sites. But I should be finished in a few weeks - after all, a lot of resources have to be farmed first.

Seriously? Hmmmm…maybe it’s one of the mods we use causing it then. Time to investigate

They fixed raining inside structures some time ago.

Still happening to me with all Stormglass ceiling pieces that are glass, new and old
Yeah thats a product I believe of how it does the rain cancelation indoors. There is a top down 2d camera for rain that masks the building top to prevent rain on the floor. So the glass probably doesnt occlude enough to prevent it. Its likely one of those things that, yeah it could be done differently, but at additional memory overhead and would probably cause problems for older hardware or consoles. The only other way I can think to do it would be that building pieces carry a cancel weather volume underneath, but that would probably give a lot of people (if not everyone) a lagfest.

Yeah, I ended up just tearing out the glass ceiling. It’s gonna rain on m anyways, but at least now I can clearly see the pretty Vegas lights shooting up into the sky from my religious alters behind the throne room lol
But I do like the new pieces in general. May even build a second (technically 3rd) base with a new design from the ground up
I have to correct myself: Unfortunately, it rains inside my citadels too.
I took screenshots of it, but the animation of the rain is not shown on them.

Forgot to get this one. Any idea when it will be back?
It’ll cycle back thru, probably after the new armor/gibbet timer
Loving it as well
Here’s my current EL base

Prickly. Sends a clear message to god avatars: “Don’t step on this.”
I’m still in the process of baking enough hardened bricks so I can build my stormglass house on Siptah. Still haven’t decided on the design, but I really like the new pieces and would like to include them in the design.

@ Eniguman: Great!
If I may express one wish to you, Funcom …
… My wish for the future is that you add stained glass windows to the storm glass tileset. The tileset is great for arcane and sacred buildings, so it would be nice if there were also stained glass windows with arcane and religious motifs from the Conan setting.
On which server did you build your base? You can find my constructions on PvEC server #1040.
