We’ve come across bioluminescent fungus in several places before - the Blue Mountain mine, Shadowy Forest and one of the caves in Savage Coast, if I remember right. Maybe something could be happening there.
I’d be interested to see if there’s any significance in that image on the news page.

This is just too cool. Kinda reminds me of why I can’t find anything else out there quite like SWL. If I wasn’t so busy finishing up a course I would like to start hunting for more clues, it’s fun watching everything slowly unravel though.

What if this is related to the new Jeronimo agent mission chains? Isn’t a map one of the rewards and some of the missions are about fungus?

The Buzzing has begun tweeting again with similarly worrisome, broken signals!
Which was followed quickly by another attempt at communication, which didn’t manage to reach the TRANSMIT stage.
And just now, the Buzzing has announced a garbled statement of technical difficulties.
The attached image, a GIF, shows a distorted video with warning signs at top and the Legend/Lore symbol in the middle.

Interesting to know. TBH I blow past those screens on login then open my login bonus manually then my agents to collect and reissue them. Since SA Collectors edition BUY ME pops up, along with login bonus/news, agent panel and sometimes the challenges menu.
My interpretation is that this indicates the death of the Buzzing. Something is happening now that has altered their ability to transcend time and ended their existence in the future.
I suspect Jeronimo bringing back samples of gravity resistent fungus from the future is directly related.
Is that fungus creeping over the screen?

so, it’s the sunsetting of SWL with a perma death event to wrap up things for us ?
Maybe we’re travelling back in time and relaunching TSW! With extra fungus…?
