The Next Age - What can it be?

At a guess - the server is so densely built that it limits access to points of interest, causes constant lag or takes up significantly more space than anyone would reasonably need, even for role-playing purposes.

The server wouldn’t need to look like Cybertron in order to become unpractical to join and play on.

I have explained it over, and over, and over, and it’s quite clear you will never understand it.
It is clearly beyond your comprehension.

No they are not, and that is an issue.

You not understanding the complexity of something doesn’t make it simple.

So this one was age of pepper and the previous vinegar?:rofl::rofl::rofl:
On my opinion, whatever comes! People, including me (eclipse, hated it, lol) will always find reasons not to like things or the opposite.
What i hope for the next age is…
Less bugs, better performance, reasonable prices on fully functional content.

I’ve been waiting for the Age of Aquarius for a long time now. Maybe Conan Exiles could finally usher it in?

I honestly don’t know because I have never played PvP, hence the question.

They go hand in hand, and are fairly close to representing each other.

And what option does a discussion on the forum present you to issues a player faces on servers?

So what are your options? Report everything in hopes it gets cleaned up. Move servers. Play private, play solo. There are options. Petition Funcom to ban refreshers if you like. Blame Funcom for crappy servers.

Whats going to get you further ahead to enjoy the game?

Then move servers if the lag is so bad. No servers left? Single player, rent, or testlive that you like. Theres always options.

They arent? So someone has a sprawling base that causes lag for you, and reporting it or moving to a new server doesnt solve it? Ok.

Then move servers. Or report everything causing an infraction. Both of which solve your problem. Right? No? Oh gosh.

You should have seen the power of gods in Early Access. Teir 3 bases were walked through and destroyed in seconds. It was glorious, and would solve issues of massive bases and spam we see now.

Ideally, it presents an option to have an interesting discussion of new game mechanics that could be introduced, with a faint hope that the devs might see it and come up with something of their own.

Unfortunately, we don’t live in an ideal world, or anywhere close to it. Instead, we live in a world where it presents an option to get mired in someone else’s dishonest arguments.

See what I mean? It’s not bad enough that you come up with crappy ideas like this, but why the hell do you have to pass them off as someone else’s motivations?

Whatever. I don’t even know why I bother.

You see the one option that never came to your mind says everything doesn’t it.

In my case, playing Single-Player is, and has always been, the best option to enjoy the game.

But public servers exist for people who want to play multiplayer, in the way it was “meant” to be by the developer team. Multiplayer is always a cooperative effort, even when the intent is to play PvP. Behavior that denies other people reasonable access to the game goes against this cooperative effort.

Moving to a different server is not a solution, it’s giving up. It’s enabling people who don’t want to play by the rules. (In this context, by “rules” I don’t mean Funcom’s ToS, but expected social norms in a social context where people are supposed to interact towards a mutually beneficial goal, ie. having fun playing a game.)

In an ideal world, everyone playing online would be respectful and considerate towards others. Unfortunately we don’t live in such a world.

Can you PLEASE stop cry about people building bases in a base builder game again another thread where the subject got changed to bases , TOC , rules and now serial refleshers lol.

PLEASE If you dont like others people building base in the official server move to single player most of peoples cry about others people bases are anti social.

When the game got released It didnt have toc or anti social people crying about bases and the servers are Full of people and bases.

Funcom add TOC Because some people are closing all resourses spawn like brimstone , closing obelisks and in critical cases closing all the desert where we begin.

Now people are using TOC to ban people in PvP and in sometimes in pve , other people use It to have Fun like @DeaconElie many people stoped play Because It falses report and some Because got wrong banned i SEE It happen in the PvP where i played before.

The MAP from Conan IS so much big to people crying about bases Bridges castles etc.

Also check Ark where the TOC IS Very simple and Theres no restrition to build look Ark servers all Full of people and sometimes in PvP you can SEE most 160 players on in a server!!!

So please stop It nosense about bases TOC serial refleshers and try change back the thread for the real subject.

I have 0 issue with people building, that seems to be the point people like you miss.

So you have completely forgotten about the greifing mad house the public server used to be. Which is why we have the ToC now.

Not the point, never has been, why do people just not get there are rules to follow? You agree to follow them every time you log in.

This isn’t ARK and I have to question if you have ever played on one of those servers? They are pure hell. I know at one time there was a huge clan that just went from on to the next server clearing them.

What will be next needs to hit testlive soon, or it will be August. Just 2 weeks left in June.
May not see anymore then a maybe fix for present issues.

You never played Conan in the launch like i did It was super Fun with server Full we have to wait to login but when we get on with a server Full people It was the more Fun thing finding people in EVERY places and looking for empty places to build , the Noob River Full of bases and NO ONE crying about It and TOC didnt come Because “griefing mas house” i posted why They add TOC to game If you dont know how to READ isnt my problem.

Now look right now we have many empty servers and you still crying about TOC bases bridges like you have done in the other thread.

Most people leave Conan to move to Ark and now soulmask because Theres no problem with building or TOC

you dont have to fear getting banned Because you build a little bridge or Because you leave to help Someone in real life and let 2 foundations alone…

And yes i played Ark in servers with more 100 people on we used Discord to passando the max count from server “70” It didnt have Any lag and was Very funny check YouTube for Ark survival bandidos PvP you Will SEE How many people and NO LAG.

BOTH games Ark and conan have Cheaters and hackers but Ark have simple TOC(you can build with no fear) and people CANT abuse the report system like in Conan people do.

Now think about what you just said. If those servers were actually empty there would be no bridges or bases to report now would there?

Now let me try to set a few people straight

1: I have given up reporting anyone, it is a waste of my time because I am not a clan that can get all it’s members to report a build. MY report has no teeth.

2: I have never reported a bridge. Complained, explained why, pointed out it is a ToC violation, but never reported one.

3: I don’t care how you build as long as it is with in the ToC. Just check the screen cap examples of violations. Is that really so hard?

4: I wont report something I find offensive if it’s not a ToC violation. May not even gripe about it on the forum.

5: I’m serial refreshing because it’s last man standing not he who claims the most property

Now I’m expecting some sort of news about the next chapter soon. Like real soon.

I’d agree with most and love to see the age of civilization and it just be QoL updates.

I wont disagree with that, but that doesnt solve the issue the player would have right now. It might, maybe solve it if Funcom took suggestions on things like this, but that might also take years to impliment.

Because its clearly something people complain about, and this is the solution. If an idea is presented, say for example decay chests (or whatever theyre called) that you have to have resources in. Ok, so now instead of logging in once every week to refresh, they log in one more time, farm for a few hours to give them a months worth of decay time.

Nothing changes, and the first person that is upset is still upset because those other players are still taking up real estate and rarely playing.

The only logical thing is to ban that action.

Seems silly, you called it and I realize it. It would be astronomically insane if Funcom banned players for not playing enough. Since that whole deal is off the table what is the original person going to do?

Nothing. Learn that there are more people in the world then themselves, let people be serial refreshers if they want and move on. Report the base for something else, move servers or learn to ignore it.

It is that simple.

Selfish entitlement comes to my mind, but I thought Id go with more obvious answers first. But I like how you like to intentionally dodge answering questions to make yourself look morally and intellectually superior.

You got some good points I agree with but I dont think I agree with multiplayer always being a cooperative effort.

PvP has always been who can beat who, or who wins. In games like this, as well as many others, you do what you can to win. Its competitive, not necessarily cooperative. Those that try to be cooperative on PvP servers, sometimes end up on the losing end of fights, thanks to insiding or betraying.

Eh, yes and no. Its more of an option. You dont need to move servers if someone had a massive base, or many bases that annoy you or make you think youre game is affected. You can choose to stay there and ignore it, you can choose to report it, or you can choose to move. Like I said above, until Funcom makes things clear and precise what is allowed and what isnt, thats all we have.

I think ^^ this goes out the window in competitive games.
