The Next Age - What can it be?

The bounds of social engineering looks fun, or the subject is a secret. I’m surprised out of this entire discussion board there is none comparing hackers and social engineering. Players (or those with long “goodbye” thread (after thread, after thread)) are dumbfounded when crossing the (contextual) line of social engineering. Stuff about hackers is old news.

Well you go with what ya know, ok?

Wrong again, but you keep guessing.

I do answer your questions, you failing to comprehend my answers is not me dodging the question.

So you’ve never looked at the screen cap examples of ToC violations :person_facepalming:

Wrong. Try any racing game. How enjoyable a race is, is as dependent on how well everyone races, as much as winning. Some of the best races I ever had I didn’t win, but everyone on the track was quite good at racing.

I have. Umborls wrote them. Then he sees a direct violation in a picture and says nothing is wrong.

Clear as mud.

Why do you enter a race? Do you want to win, or do you want a participation trophy for showing up?

A PvP server, you want to win, to dominate. Competitive shooters, you want to win, to be the best. Racing games, you play to win.

In your example, if you can win a race by bumping a car (well say its legal) to spin him out and pass him, would you do it?

Are you racing to win, or are you racing just to enjoy driving a car?

Nope. I’ve played wargames on high competitive level, and sportsmanship is expected in all situations, even when you’re trying to crush them in the game. There’ll always be some jerks and cheaters in any large group of people, but the vast majority of players I know are friendly and gentlemanly and jolly good fellows even when playing a “high-stakes” game.

Of course, the situation may be vastly different when you’re actually physically in the same room with the other person than it is when online, hiding behind an internet alias. People have a tendency to forget other people are people too when all they can see is an in-game avatar and chat.

How do you write a screen cap

And there is your issue, I guarantee you can’t see it.

Moot question, the pit maneuver is a disqualifyer. I bet you don’t see just how ludicrous that question is. All you are saying is “if it’s ok to brake the rules would you” if it’s ok to break the rules, they aren’t rules.

I guess I should have clarified a bit more. Competitive events like esports and tourneys etc, yes I’d agree a level of sportsmanship should be there.

And there’s nothing wrong with a “GG” after a raid in Conan.

But during the fighting and raiding, anything goes. Dirty tactics, tricks, deceiving the enemy and ■■■■ talking is all a part of the strategy to get into your enemies head and throw them off their game.

If you think about it, at some level, you have to have the desire and drive to do what it takes to win. If you have the same attitude as you should in real life society, you’d never raid or PvP someone because then you are singling someone out to attack for no reason.

When you think like that, you don’t seem very nice. That competitive edge has to be there, and if you want to win, you do what needs to be done. Heck, history is full of examples.

Good lord, you don’t remember his land claim thread, where he posted pictures and wrote details out?

For someone who preaches about people not knowing rules you sure seem to forget or ignore what Funcom posts.

Read my question and try again. Focus on the part in parentheses, where I said if it was legal.

I’ve had my share of RL PVP.
Corporations raid, common practice.

I think you are confusing “win” with “survive”. Maybe you have been playing too much PVP.

No win is worth getting black listed.

Link me. But that still doesn’t explain how you write a screen cap.

Age of Reason?

Probably not, but I guess we can hope that Funcom will give us something reasonable next time. Not holdin’ my breath though.

Doom. The Dark Ages.

Be certain to let it post bake enough that the requisite Bethesda jank gets ironed out.
It’s not an Ubisoft reanimated composite of aborted fetuses (feti?), but when is the last time Bethesda released a game that didn’t need a day, week, month, and year 1 patch?

It’s IDSoftware game and all their games are quite polished and don’t have any of that Bethesda junk.

Bethesda is still the publisher, and this one will never again underestimate a cursed publisher’s ability to undermine a competent dev team.

That having been said, this one would be positively ecstatic to be proven wrong.

True but previous 2 Doom games+Ancient Gods DLCs had superb performance so I have a certain level of trust in IDsoftware team.

Gawd. John Farnham. Making me feel old. Experience the Age of Reason in Conan! New hairstyle- The Mullet! In fact the ONLY hairstyle for this Age as all other hairstyles will be converted to the mullet for the duration of this Age.

If there was a new age coming, it would’ve been announced by now. The only news from Funcom is the next Dune connect and I bet we’re not getting a release date for that either.

I’m busy with Soulmask, so if next age is delayed even more I’m not complaining.

The age of we’ll get to this in August.
