There will not be 24/7 servers?

Well, maybe you have on a private server such things, go and fight Russian or Chinese. You give them your armor simply.

They are nerfing the spears

Aahhahah good luck)))

I have level 60 characters on a bunch of official servers, both live & testlive. Iā€™ve played against a lot of different people. I can prove that itā€™s impossible to win when I wear Silent Legion + telithā€™s sorrow vs light armor. Youā€™re welcome to 1v1 me on SP and see for yourself. Again, nothing to do with skill. I understand why you donā€™t believe me, but itā€™s probably easier to just show this kind of thing than argue about it.

Yes Yes. Two-wool swords are worn only by slaves, and it is better to give them spears. I will not argue as you like, Iā€™m daggers, but they are useless. So I run with the best weapons in the game and this is a spear.

I do not know dude, they just make out of the game, kindergarten.

How quickly CONAN has become the Casual gamer option for ARK

really?? I understand casual gamers pay your bills but at least give us some damn servers!!

If there was a stamina cost penalty for wearing heavier armor, it could be balanced by just that. Wellā€¦ I think.

Could you stop mistaking forums for global chat?
Your choice of words is sometimes befitting blind rage.

I wonder about that. Wellā€¦ once that healing fix hits live. (healing being cancled on any damage taken)
I love my daggers, and due to the forward animation of daggers, I happened to avoid damage of two handed swords and quite a few other weapons before. (Basically any weapon with 180Ā° attacks. Easier on darting/straightforward attacks though.) Not to mention good timed rolls with light armor.

Well with unlimited raiding being applied, this whole issue of offline raiding is way worse. The only good thing is you can pay them back. ā€¦ If you got the resources to do so.
This is why I prefer different servers and I dont like how they just canceled mayhem servers.

They got some beginner+coward+lone wolf servers (pve), then some light experienced servers (pve-c) and those pvp serversā€¦ Mayhem would have been the perfect fourth step in that learning curve.
Even though I am rather one of the cowardly lone wolfes, I can perfectly understand the need for mayhem.

This explains the new servers.

You are limited as to when you can damage player buildings to prevent players from offline raiding a base outside of prime time hours. This caused a lot of issues with players from other regions offline raiding player of the servers region.

In effect they were grieving those that were offline and unable to defend their base. This defeats the intent of PvP.

For some peopleā€¦ griefing IS why they play the game. They consider that ā€œhardcoreā€.

Sadly, yes, I have to agree with this.

Ofcourse some people are out to grief others. But not everyone. Raiding is a big part of the game and alot of us will never get to experience it apart from being able to be raided when we are not there (which we dont mind aslong as we can raid back which we cant) I would much prefer raiding someone who is online because its more fun.

Someone else said why not just make buildings damageable when that clan is online

This sentence doesnā€™t really make sense, whatā€™s everyone reply meant to be? Bye maybe?

Time your raid to be whilst the other player is getting a Purge. Oh, sorry, theyā€™d be onlineā€¦

RUST is one for sure, you sound like the sort of person who would be better off in that game TBH.

Fully agree mate.

I know you include yourself in that list later in your sentence, but dude, thatā€™s a bit harsh, almost insulting to 1000ā€™s of PvE players. I can hold my own in a PvP server if I was forced to play on one, but I just hate all the ā€œbreastsā€ I seem to find in them who just want to smash everything Iā€™d spent hours grafting for. I just want to be able to sleep at night knowing that ā€œbreastsā€ like @BTRR and his mates arenā€™t wrecking my house because theyā€™re too frightened to come heal-heal with me in the game.

I play PvE, might switch to the new PvE-C on release, but only because at the end of the month, Iā€™d like to be able to see an achievement rather than an empty shell of a house with all my gear and workstations destroyed.

@BTRR - The creators obviously donā€™t see a need for the servers you play on. They will have been monitoring number of players using them and decided that the vast majority of players donā€™t use them. They have to pay for those nearly empty servers. May I suggest that if that type of game play is what you want, and you donā€™t want to join someone elseā€™s private server, maybe you should put something BACK into the game community, and host one yourselfā€¦

Maybe they should have devoted one server to this type of game play, but then youā€™d be moaning that you have no choice of server, so I suspect youā€™d want them to host 3 or 4 or more servers, what a waste of server resources!

Thank you everyone for the feedback. While we wonā€™t be able to reply to every single comment we do read what you have to say and we do want to take it into consideration. We understand the arguments for both sides and we will consider rolling out additional servers with new rulesets if we see community demand for it.

For me, a mostly PvE player, this new kind of PvP servers (and even PvE conflict) are very very appealing and interesting, so I think despite some ā€œharkorā€ players complaints, you have done a good job at increasing the audience for this game.

It would be desirable to know there will be normal servers 24/7 during start, whether it is necessary to take the day off?

Sure, it was me going overboard. If anyone feels insulted, I didnt mean it in any personal way.
I am sorry.
But I do get the feeling, that quite a few harkor(nnen) do think of pve that way. And as this game seems to has been meant to be more fun in pvp, it is sad for mayhem to have vanished completely. Because those guys get ignored that way. And that is always a bad thing. Doesnt matter whom that hits.

Maybe I was even only talking about myself. (what does that tell about myselfā€¦ oh wellā€¦)
Basically I was trying to understand those servers as a learning curve, where everyone is usually meant to switch once he is confident enough. That is the reason I stacked it with cowards and lone wolves, as those wouldnt want to go up. Of course I should have added those who simply dont want to loose their stuff, whatever the reason would be. (i.e. a friend who doesnt like this game that much that he will play it a lot. Thus he would hate to loose it all.)

You are limited as to when you can damage player buildings to prevent players from offline raiding a base outside of prime time hours. This caused a lot of issues with players from other regions offline raiding player of the servers region.

In effect they were grieving those that were offline and unable to defend their base. This defeats the intent of PvP.

Then again, at least one guy told why he has a problem with mayhem having vanished. He gets raided daily and cannot pay back. Seems to have to do with raiding times, as the servers which got low ping for him, have their raiding times during his work. And this is what that guy is angry about. With mayhem, he could at least pay them back.
He did suggest something interesting though!

Player buildings only being damagable if said player is online. (Or a member of that clan.)

This would defeat the whole purpose of limited raiding times plus those mayhem ones, as offline raiding would get impossible to do.

Yes its atlest 2 types of pvp play styles in play and its only bad to mix them, no one will be happy.

Mate, even if they donā€™t have a Mayhem servers on launch day, Iā€™m confident that youā€™ll have great fun in a normal PvP server. Take the day off anyway, after all, weā€™ve waited a year for the launch, it will be a great day, even if it turns out to be a flop. (Iā€™m sure it wonā€™t flop  )

Iā€™m 800 hrs in and not felt the need to raid once. The resources are plentiful, there is plenty to do in the game and I have met some great people so far. Maybe itā€™s my age (43) but at this time of my life where everything IRL is busy and stressful, sitting down to a few hours of stress free PvE (maybe PvE-C) fun is perfect for me.

Just 4 more sleeps

NB, Someone else mentioned that they are at work during the time of the purges and PvP action windows. I know the ping can sometimes be an issue but other than that, why not join an Asia server so that the clocks are different?
