Don’t like the idea of the oils. Are people really board with what is out there to the point of actually wanting this? I have met no one who has said they want something like this.
My personal opinion:
More temporary stuff (new weapon oil). I already hate the buffs being on a timer.
Now they screw up your weapons too (literally with reducing the durability).
I second this. I am horrible with timers and I often break my tools and armors because I forget to pay attention to the durability. I can’t imagine having to keep track of the timer, the durability and focus on the fight at the same time. Unless these oils are OP, I don’t see myself using them. Not to mention that it looked like it is another recipe we need to get from the UC which is RNG with quite a large pool to pull from. I will have to sink quite some fragments to get that 1 new recipe.
EDIT: In addition they can only be applied to fully repaired weapons which is pretty inconvenient in my opinion as you would need to fully repair your weapon prior any important fight for it just to last a couple of minutes. It would require you to use legendary kits much more often than before or fight using the new repair gear.
Question about Oils:
Does the timer replace the durability for it’s duration, like on the claws?
So you can hit as much as you want without breaking them before timer runs up?
As seen in the example in stream yesterday, I doubt regular stone daggers could stay intact for 3 minutes of non stop fighting tbh, so this might actually be a buff for low durability weapons?
true but you should also remember to not run around with the daggers equipped to take the full benefit of the 3 mins and in the current pvp meta, i think it is a lot of dodging and less hitting
for PVP certainly, but what about PVE, where you have better application of attacks in general?
When you put in the testlive?
but there will already be a cost in creating them. I mean I can understand putting it on dragonbone or serpent man sure, but that’s as high as the usefulness goes then
how is this possible if max durability is gone? the repair kit does not restore that
sorry, I misunderstood. I thought that each application was on a timer, but that each application also lowered the max durability (as in when you originally apply a damage/AP mod). Therefore making the weapon weaker and weaker PERMENANTLY until destruction
ADDED:
that threw me off
You don’t think funcom can patch out the glitches with stuff like “Instant death if you land on a bomb”? As for leap frogging into a persons base, pretty sure fall damage is still a thing and on PvP you’re still probably gonna have to deal with a bunch of thralls when you land on the other side of that wall… (And that’s assuming that you don’t land on another bouncy pad and get flung to your death…)
They haven’t yet…not all of them. sorry bud, reality check.
landing ON a thrall would be my goal
Pretty sure we’re getting mounts since one of 2019’s DLC is “Riders of Hyboria” and I doubt they’re working on sorcery. They’ve said a few times, not word for word, that it’s just not in the pipeline atm.
“Almost everyone” is not really an exaggeration if they need to address those features/content in almost every conan exiles streams. Also don’t believe the not possible, its just the amount of work, money, and time it would take which I would gladly pay for a dlc or expansion to have those features added game. We’ve gotten so much free content so I wouldn’t mind having to pay for those types of big content additions.
At the very least they’d help mitigate the strain put on travel with obelisks being blocked.
I only have one thought about the latest stream. As usual, not nearly enough was said or addressed about fixes to the base game. The amount of added content that’s been worked on makes it perfectly clear how little effort is actually going in to said fixes.
Can’t say I’m real happy about that.
I have faith there’ll be cyborg-pterodactyls with laser breath attacks.
Unless I’m mistaken, the OP wasn’t asking for thoughts on past dev streams, thus, I wasn’t commenting on past dev streams or patches. Since you brought them up, most of the past patches have managed to break things as well as fix a few.
It stands to reason that not mentioning fixes in the current dev stream gives the impression that none have been addressed or worked on. Why would anyone assume they have if it wasn’t mentioned? …or did I miss the part where they brought it up? It is possible…I went to take a leak while it was playing.
Yeah at least for me I would like to see whats new and have them talk about the new content than talking about bug fixes.
Wouldn’t the thrall still try to murder the crap out of you in a PvP server? (And in PvE/PvE C you risk becoming trapped in the base if you chose to intrude in such a way… Depending on how the base is constructed…) So either way pretty sure you risk death by catapulting yourself over a players wall…
