Anyone tested the damage output of a named greater dog, ie Thor versus a greater sabretooth? Mainly asking as Thor has many abilities, some consider to be…unnatural.
The issue with staking is losing stuff when the stability of the item is it randomly gone.
Maybe I’ve been lucky - been playing nearly since launch and hadn’t lost anything until a few days ago when I got funcom’d from the patch. But yes, generally if the base structure is destroyed during a purge or pvp, it’s gone. I’m on PVE btw.
Berry Pulp is a pretty handy stopgap to have when you’re first trying to break into the far north and don’t have enough cold protection on your gear
It doesn’t heat you up, but quenches thirst without cooling you down either. It means you can eat spicy foods that make you thirsty without having to drink water which does make you colder
Me too! But yeh I haven’t actually tried it since the heat/cold armour update as I figured it for sure wouldn’t be enough to get me overheated anymore. Judging by the other post, it looks like thats the case.
I tend to leave myself logged in for hours at a time – to help with purge meter – while I clean and do other things, so just chilling in the fire for 10 minutes and having it completely repair your weapons was really nice! It’s interesting how some helpful game fixes can actually hurt other small little things like that.
If you are very cold, the water you drink won’t cool you down any fuurther.
Star metal meteors go right through your base, causing serious damage. If you want to find out how, build near the frost temple on Exiled Lands.
And eggs! But those usually are near water, soo…
Dogs of the desert guys have eggs in their pockets (or somewhere else?!) and they are in the desert, so this may be helpful there.
Bugs/bees sadly don’t quench your thirst but fat grubs do!
By the way: this is a good chunk of helpful info you wrote!
Just a heads up. I’ve been using a Sickle and getting 3x as well.
A short explanation on what’s really happening with this is as following:
- the sigil of the gremlin will increase loot by 2 for the first harvested item
- mitra ankh doesn’t harvest anything except mitra offering and dragon bones and is an exceptional tools because the first harvested item will always be ???
- this might not work best with maelstrom dragons because the +2 loot bonus will most certainly apply to dragon bones
Making steel reinforcements from the Steelfire and iron reinforcements recipe takes 4 seconds a bar in the Campaign Blacksmiths bench, but around 11 seconds each in the Garrison kind and costs the same.
A thing i just recently learned although playing for nearly 2 and a half years:
You can repair your weapons and armor pieces in the respective workbench for MUCH less then you would repair them in your inventory.
Especially usefull for eldarium weapons. Just put them in your blacksmith bench and repair them inside the workstation. Dont know if a thrall fuether reduces the costs, but you should have one anyways
You don’t know how many times the gruel in my followers inventory has saved me…
You can free the 5th inventory slot from a thrall by placing their weapon in their weapon slot. This is good if you want to lose some weight.
If you want to drop a high number of items from your inventory fast, you can press the drop button with your left click mouse as well as pressing space key. This will increase the speed at which you drop items.
Singleplayer admin lets you have unobtainable thralls to guard your base. No need to have a bazillion regular thralls to defend my base from Nordheimer and Silent Legion purges when I have the Witch Queen, Ladagara of Ymir and the Arena Champion leveled up to 20 and armed to the teeth.
Enabling *Auto Align To Terain", by pressing the middle mouse button, will make it easier to place objects like maprooms and pet pens. It is also very useful in stacking compost heaps and chests on top of each other.
I’ve seen alot of players that don’t know how to block a drawbridge from being closed by other players.
- build 2 gate frames
- place the drawbridge on one, and a gate on the other
- in between the gateframes, place a wall trophy (a rocknose head works best for me)
In this way, other players can’t climb on top to access the lever. Make sure to do this for both left and right side. - disable the gate autoclose and open it towards the drawbridge.
- in this way the lever is protected from outsiders and only you can operate the drawbridge.
Wish I had a list of every single recipe / feat that’s locked to Isle of Siptah before hauling my character’s hiney back to the Exiled Lands. Can’t believe I forgot to learn Eldarium tools. /grumble.
How? The wiki says I can, but I I don’t see a recipe for it.
You also need a t4 tanner.
