Update Destroys fighting system

,

the made the combat from a fluid skill base (with exception of horses of course) to a clumsy turn base kinda Rpg , animations are ultra slow you cant cancel animation, dodging is inefficient. very disappointing and demotivating!

Change fighting system to what it was, mic drop!

pretty please*

Adapt or die old bean.

But those idiotic comments like “we need to stop playing” really do your cause no justice.

Just sounds petulant.

Stop making documentations and start working in a callcenter xD

Just adapt to the changes shrugs

While I haven’t had a chance to see or try out anything with the new update, I’m really not certain why you are attacking PvE players. Did the PvE community as a whole write in to Funcom and demand a change to the combat system? I find that doubtful at best.

Was already a thread on this before the update. Not sorry to see exploitive Animation Cancelling gone.

No, the boogyman, also known as PvE-er’s aren’t a proper target for you. If you want to blame somebody, it was the PvP community who asked for this overwhelmingly.

Adapt, exploits with Animation Cancelling aren’t coming back. Now if you all have some descriptive feedback on how you think things could improve in the future that isn’t an exploit, I’m sure that would be helpful.

Oh, is that what this is about? I’d been reading about that recently. Can’t say I’ve encountered it as a dirty, no-good PvE’er but I can say I’m glad I won’t have to deal with it

Animation cancelling with 2nd handed weapons yes. But making the only option for you to dodge to cancell the attack than have it the old same way with unwielding weapon should still be there. Now it just feels clumsy, and im pretty sure people dont “cry” over the 2nd hand animation cancell, they talk about unequip weapon so u can move instead of being stuck for 3 seconds at the same spot.

…that was the specific exploit that was at the heart of the PvP complaints (understandably).

I’ve said my peace on the matter and this will be my last response. Exploitive Animation Cancelling is not intended, it was never intended. If you commit a large attack, you shouldn’t be able to instantly cancel it within .1 seconds. That’s not fun, and impossible to balance.

Combat can properly be balanced, adjusted, tweaked, maybe even new systems added if Funcom chooses to, now that exploitive animation cancelling is in the rear view mirror.

that exactly what it is compared to this. Having your movement limited is not fun tho. So unequip and equip weapon as cancelling an attack is not unbalanced, only thing it does is giving you as a player the flexibillity, and also having a more fluid movenent.

Here comes the Johnoobane bridage.

take ur time to swing by this thread aswell I am very upset with 2.4 aswell & these slow animations. I think we should stand together & fight. I am on the verge to quit & I do not wish to, cus I enjoy the game ALOT.

With all the changes. A kind letter from a fan since Early acces - Conan Exiles / Suggestions - Funcom Forums

This. I believe Funcom will now work to make each weapon set have cons and positives.
For starters iframes during animation, Stam usage, dmg dealt, reach, hit box, closing distance. imagine all weapons having ranks in those meaning you will see people play they style of weapon they fell is right, instead of 1 or 2 meta sets.

How will you stand if you animation cancel on something you should commit too?

Exactly. People who play PvE aren’t on here complaining about animation cancelling.

100% guarantee PvE players gave not a single you know what about animation cancelling. Why would they? “This is trash! I shouldn’t be able to beat these NPC’s so good with animation cancelling! This must be stopped!”

What?
