May our hearts be full like our drinks tonight
May we sing and dance 'til we lose our minds
We are only young if we seize the night
Tonight …we own the night
I would love to see nightmarish creatures come out at night and attacks of skeletons (silent legion) like in the first movie (Conan the Barbarian) . That would might time more tense and exciting.
…wait, what?
i think he speak about the resurection of conan, when he’s attack by the spirits of dead
While nights could bring more to gameplay than it currently does, it still serves it main purpose : immersion.
And that alone is enough for night to stay.
Oh, my bad, i thought i was clarifying my points right after the first one. Perhaps next time i should create larger expositon for my posts. It has been undestanding up until now, that people dont like wall of text. I shall strive to be more discriptive for you when i post in your threads from now on. I apologize i was unaware of the rules,
I really don’t have issues at night, and I’m not a good player. Not skilled at all.
Also, I love how night time looks. I like seeing npc camps, and my base.
love the night, love exploring with just torch especially the north an love being jumped in the dark, in game i mean though being jumped in life can be pretty nice depending on circumstances
from this perspective, it’s true that it also became a visual mark of the time spend on a conan session, probably for the best to people like me x)
Agreed. In the words of a famous hero:
Without night the world is half as lovely and about 1/3 less dangerous. For immersion, the passing of time is like sundials made from rock.
It’s not immersive if it doesn’t have any effects, doesn’t make it harder for the AI to see, and you can stay awake for weeks at a time in game without any consequences.
This horse isn’t dead yet?
Poor things been beaten enough LOL
In my experience it’s already happening
During the night, in Desert and River Biome, with my DLC flawless epic aquilonian armor I feel cold or very cold in the wild, while it do not happens during the day
I wish night was like Skyrim… beautiful, can get around, etc.
(The Halloween event was pretty slick - really liked it)
But yeah, its dark, cant see anything as stars don’t exist in the north… lol!
I always thought one of the most awesome nighttime experiences was being in the north in the dark during a lightning storm. You can move when the lightning flashes, then have to stop and wait for the next one.
To you maybe it’s not immersive, but I do a lot of sightseeing at night. The stars are over head, the moon moves, and I think buildings look awesome in the torch light.
If a mediocre player like me gets by with no issues, anyone can.
Just curious, have you ever sent a week only awake at night?
Because I have, humans adapt to there surroundings, all living creatures do.
When I was in the military my hours of operstuin were from 10pm to 6am. And I had time get used to tryin to see in the pitch black because my night vision goggles broke.
Guess what. My eyes did adapt. Its part of the dilation process. Go ahead try it at home, in your mirror. Look at yourself with the lights on, wait a few minutes turn the lights out. Immediately after you can’t see, give it a few, your eyes adjust or “ADAPT” and you can see.
Who’s to say the AI’s perfect accuracy was an oversight in programming? And not a scientific actuality of adaptation?
Referring back to my previous statement
“GROW UP”
for those of you getting their panties in a bundle and not understanding my verbiage.
Learn a few things, do some research, find some flaws in my arguement, and then, and only then, start whining about “you’re” issues.
Did you find that looking slightly to the left or right of what you actually wanted to look at helped at night? I don’t know if it is just me but it helped me
@Will_L Yes, again part of the dilation of your pupils. Your iris grow or “dilate” to absorb more light, thus providing a clearer view. Lack of light usually improves peripheral (or left or right of your focus) vision in many ways. Providing that peripheral vision directly translates to depth of vision it makes perfect sense that using your peripheral vision to help see at night is viable.
I’d like an optician to prove me wrong.
