Slight correction, zendesk is for reporting ToS violations and forum bug reports are for bugs. I think they do it this way so people can see what’s been reported as a bug so others can potentially chime in and say “yeah it happened to me ” so they can see how many people are potentially impacted.
Zendesk is for several things, one of them being bug reports:
No idea why, but I suspect that the Zendesk bug report tickets are meant for exploits, because we’re not supposed to share those on the forums.
Yeah exploits they dont want out. The more eyes on regular bugs tho the better. Sometimes people can identify that a “bug” isnt really a bug and is instead a mod or a simple misunderstanding.
As you describe it, it sounds like your decay timer was bugged. Normally when you log in regularly your decaytimer resets back to server max. But if a server is constantly lagging then calculations maybe off. It then can happen that it won´t reset the timer correctly so it ticks further down even if you have logged in.
No matter the server, you should regularly check your decaytimer with tab or your repairhammer after logging in to make sure it resets the timer properly.

Had same ISSUE this winter.
Official pvp, low population, calm game, duo base (not very big, manage to fit only 1 wheel, 2 temples, 1 stables, 1 pen)
Base in the rock passway (under the mountain).
NOT named location, probably block 2-3 spawns for rocknoses only…
2 months of regular (almost each day) play.
One day returned to base from expedition and it just gone… i mean building blocks gone, looks like it just failed to spawn before my arrival (no players around)…
Proof, you can see bags falling around, so base just despawn if front of your eyes
No warnings, no messages, no bans
