=BUG DESCRIPTION=
Banned for not having enough crom coins I assume.

Summary:

“Banned for invalid payment transaction”

I do hope this is a new bug with the update.

How do you get your Funcom ID when you are banned and can’t open any menus?

Why does the email ask for it then? And what kind of receipt do you need? Since it’s not our own fault

That’s a lot of hours.

Same here. They want me to pay 4960 Crom Points. Even if I go back like 2 years I havent bought that much! I have 1500 hours in Conan and I’ve been there since day 1. And this is how they thank me? I havent been banned from any game ever. Sigh.
I do hope they fix this ASAP and that they compensate us who are tricked into buygin insane much coins in order to lift the ban.

Leave it to a Chinese owned company to “Officially” install ransomware in a video game. 10 years ago I’d have laughed at you for suggesting that would ever be a thing, but here we are in our brave new world. It would be funnier if it weren’t so dang sad.

To me, for one, the problem is not the problem, it is the apparent lack of preparedness to handle updates.

Sure, we have had a lot of problems with updates before, but this situations, for the reasons we were discussing earlier, is different.

It is not a bug in the game that you wait, and we are not locked out of the game because the -game- does not work.

We are locked out because a “payment” related bug, which is concerning. bugs, ok, no problem.

But when it is about payment, you get people on the wrong buttons to press.

This true for all companies. If they keep the money for 1 day, they are earning interest on thru investments. Like a cable company that “accidentally” overcharges your automatic withdrawl. They will credit you on nect bill. So 30 days with a interest free loan from consumers to earn interest on. And it is legal lol.

You know, the hilarity for my part of this is
I JUST moved some of my assets to some holdings in Taiwan, and this thing pops up talking about how “I’m banned because money, invalid state,” and I was like

Winnie the Poooooooh?! Is that YOU!?

Just trying to be helpful with this mess. Gonna list a couple of resources for people gathering information for reports.

On the screen that informs you that you are banned, press “y” on your keyboard and find your Funcom ID in the lower left of the screen that pops up.

To find your Steam purchase history, go to your steam account by clicking on your name in the upper right of the Steam screen, selecting “Account details:” and then selecting “View purchase history”. You should see a list of all purchases through Steam there, including your Crom Coin purchases.

To find your Epic Store purchase history, go to Epicgames.com, sign in with your account, select “Account” from the drop down menu, then select “Transactions” on the left.

Hope this info helps.

i did both, i made the first one with ban appeal cause i am banned due to the crom coin, then following your advice did the other, thank you for looking into this super @AndyB

#166447 (ticket number for the purchases)
#166189 (ticket for ban appeal)

thank you, let me know if i need to remove one , regards

My reference was to using the HELP button in the You are Banned Screen. It was that e-mail that again asked for my ID.

I get that Zendesk would have to ask. I used the HELP button, before I saw this thread. So effectively, I opened a Banned Challenge Ticket and a In-Game Purchase (Zendesk) Ticket.

@AndyB

Can we get a sticky on this?

Anyone already got unbanned and can tell me how long he had to wait for a response after creating a ticket?
Is there any chance i will be able to play the next hours or should i just give up today?

It’s been tremendously inconsistent. Some of us who’ve been here since minutes after the update are still waiting. People who got here hours into this mess are already back into their game.

May the odds be ever in your favor.

I swear. I used to cheekily joke about Idiocracy being a prediction for the future. Every day it seems I laugh about that a little less.

I’ll let you know when/if I get unbanned lol. My first ticket was about an hour and a half ago so, giving it time isn’t a bad thing
