I mean, I already explained that our motivations as players are different and that our ultimate payoff is different, but sure, I can point out at least 1 thing PVE players do that differs from PVP players.
Take a stroll through the Share Your Shelter thread and look at some of the most creative builds there. Is this how PVP players build typically? Will you sacrifice security for aesthetics?
The point I’ve been making is that those who choose PVE servers do so because they want to have fun with PVE content, rather than considering PVE content as a means to have fun in PVP.
This is not a binary thing. It’s not “either…or”. There’s nothing stopping you from having one character on a PVP server and another on PVE, enjoying both, and understanding both.
But the premise that “someone who only plays on PVP servers automatically knows what’s best for those who only play on PVE servers” is false, because the game is more than just the sum of its parts. Yes, the set of parts available on PVP servers is a superset of parts available on PVE servers, but the players’ motivations are different.
I mean, I’ve seen PVP players say things like “PVE is easy anyway, it doesn’t matter how the changes affect it”, and if that doesn’t show they don’t understand PVE players, nothing does.
