PC Hotfix (23.01.2019) - Crash fixes

We will but I myself never had experienced this bug, it’s weird I know. :innocent:

I was not told specifically if this bug was fixed.

This is still being worked on by the dev team and will be addressed in future patches.

This hotfix was specifically to address issues after the last few patches went out. The issue you’re describing has been fixed internally and will be addressed in a future patch.

50 ATTRIBUTES EXPLOIT IS BACK? How long has that been around, again

I have never had any problem with this on my server.

Well, last year we got the patch of many fixes.
This year we are getting the fix of many patches.

Well, at least I can confirm that you guys succeded in solving the stutter for me.

Has happened on 1518 every night varying from just a few minutes and ranging over several hours until server reset. It ususally starts near pvp time 5 to 11 est until server resets at 5 am we all used the report tool to no avail. That has been the reoccurring theme for our server at least 3 days out of the week and before the first hotfix was a everynight thing.

Alright, no probs. I hopped on a server (since it was a server specific issue to begin with) and spent some time testing this out. I tested shield combat on Gators, Imps, Humanoids (arrows and melee), Shalebacks, Wolves, Rocknoses, and Hyenas (I figure that was enough for now for testing purposes, especially when Gators specifically were reported to have a lot of issues). All of them passed with flying colors for consistent shield blocking.

Nice to have proper controls back as well.

Try it with a player with a spear do a proper test (PVP) majority of complains come from PVP not PVE
Try against BOSS not a idiot npc with no AI… do a proper test pleas before you say is fix

This is for funcom cous they have no idea what TEST means
A test procedure is a formal specification of test cases to be applied to one or more target program modules. Test procedures are executable. A process called the VERIFIER applies a test procedure to its target modules and produces an exception report indicating which test cases, if any, failed.

I am not a PvP player, I tested behaviors that were reported broken in PvE prior to the hotfix and reported my findings. Try not to jump down my throat next time for trying to be helpful.

@Azzend - We recently reported two instances of this happening after Avatars were summoned on our server. In both cases things started working again when the server reset the following morning.

If you are finding that this always happens at the start of server raid time, my guess is that someone discovered this same problem and is using it to intentional break your server.

This is on a PVE-C so no gods being spawned.

Are Avatars turned off on PVE-C servers, or just building damage? I never played on an official PVE-C, so I’m not sure. If someone wanted to troll you, they could summon the Avatar whether it does any damage or not.

Avatars can be summoned but nobody summons them Someone will noticed.

Well, it’s just a theory since it is proven to cause then issues you are reporting on PVP servers. You might want to check your Event Log with Religious Warfare checked to confirm. I expect most people leave it unchecked on your server and if no one sees the map marker for the attack it may go unnoticed.

Why is it, that I just hear this song now all the time in my head playing?
Very (un)famous christmas song

Moi de mon côté depuis le redémarrage serveur de la nuit de mardi à mercredi mon perso s’est retrouvé vidé de son inventaire, sans pour autant avoir de notifications de décès dans le journal des évenements

What’s your name on discord?

Its fixed for me. It doesn’t aim 10feet over their head anymore either.

Hi there,
On my server all bugs you fixed in this patch are solved.
But, flooding over foundation is not solved .

and here a small info to the dev’s about purge:
when sabbertooth or hyena cups are involved, the purge breaks immediately

Hey there,

We would like to specify that this hotfix was specifically targeting the issues that arose with the recent anti-flooding patch, as well as some behind-the-scenes tweaks to the measures added in the last hotfix. Purge improvements, optimization improvements and a load of other fixes and additions will be coming when the Testlive patch goes live. It will be around the end of this month or first weeks of February.
Also, we would like to remind you that to report other issues and share your feedback with us that is not directly concerning this hotfix, taking a look at this recent post and creating a new topic following those steps would help us immensely to track that issue and fix it in a timely manner.

Thanks!
