I suggest you as well it seems . Especially when you can explain why " That’s actually not true". Balls in your court.
I can, just won’t. You’re already complaining about the berserkers, makes no sense for me to give you the information and something else to complain about.
It’s not a secret, but apparently less well known than I assumed it would be.
You will be surprise from when I build I alway get the purge a patrol of the accursed. It all you can catch named accursed fighter.
@Sairdontis, Several of us have explained already that eliminating or simply increasing the rarity of berserkers will not help your situation in PvP. However, we are at least offering possible solutions. Perhaps instead of acting like you are the only one who plays the game and that none of us can possibly grasp the situation you are facing, you could help us better understand. Currently, you are simply shooting down all our good natured attempts to solve your problem. I assure you, if you want Funcom or the community’s help with this issue, you will need to better explain the nature of your problem. As it stands right now, your only two solutions, to delete or increase the rarity of berserkers do a lot more harm than good.
Not every game is perfectly balanced for PvP, in fact, most are incredibly imbalanced. Actually, from what I understand, Conan is one of the best and most balanced PvP platforms. What makes a great player (in PvP specifically) is the ability to quickly adapt to change and use the assets that the game has provided in new and alternative ways. This is how METAs are born. If you don’t like my suggestion to hunt down a superior fighter thrall, than perhaps someone else’s suggestion will be more helpful. However, you may need to further expand on your problem because for now, it just sounds like you are complaining for the sake of complaining.
Berserkers are actually inferior to the other accursed fighters, as I previously explained. Their primary draw is their 100% spawn rate, not their fighting superiority. Don’t get me wrong, berserkers are great fighters but even on Exiled Lands map, they are chosen because of their 100% spawn rate. PvP players like a guarantee when they have to go hunt something down, and I suspect berserkers were placed on both maps with 100% spawn rate specifically for PvP players.
Saying things like:
or:
These type of statements don’t help your argument, as they are gross exaggerations. Three tier-3 thralls (assuming equal level and gear), will destroy one berserker. As I explained previously, a berserker’s lack of HP greatly diminishes their prowess in the thrall standings. Yes they hit the hardest out of all thralls, but only by 0.02%.
If I had to guess, I would say (based on your obsession with berserkers) that a rival clan is stopping you from obtaining the thrall you love the most and you just feel the need to vent about it. Problem is, if Funcom decreased the spawn rate from 100% down to 25%, that rival clan will still have more berserkers than you and you might not have any at all.
Excellent breakdown. Funk-com needs to up their game in these area. It’s not enough to just have one type of thrall that people will spam just so they can be better than others.
There needs to be a balance or at least options.
Your solutions do not work and @RavenSworn gets it. I assume you was the one who wanted to hide my post also because it offended you to have others read it easily smh. It is the ease of the thrall of that power that makes it all that you see . I didn’t say it was the most powerful. It makes through its ease all the others under it not used. Simple .
So you are gatekeeping to and I am glad you “understand too” guru. I am sorry all Berserkers do is clone the Exiled lands in that you see all the same thralls over and over again and everyone rushes to secure the area they spawn. Boring and reduces the map that much further. Again lets just make sure that pvp stays out of pvp and just change it to Player vs thralls.
I hope to see more factions added to Siptah, equivalent in strength (as thralls) to Volcano thralls and perhaps Relic Hunter treasure seekers from exiled lands, so that there is some sort of competition with Accursed (Berzerkers and otherwise) in thrall armies. A greater hope would be for there to be strong thralls in every faction, with potential for a great thrall from every faction. It is pretty sad to capture named thralls from any other faction only to find them all weaklings comparatively.
I would like for more variety in my thrall hunts, meaning chances of finding really desirable thralls in different places, of different factions. Sure, let some factions have stronger I-III thralls, but let all factions have their “champions” (named thralls) that are worthy of my wheel! That said, it would be nice if the various factions really did have advantages over each other (accuracy, agility, etc.) without some overarching “damagemeleemodifier” or “damagerangedmodifier” reducing most to throwaways, while boosting one faction (accursed) into being the only thrall worth keeping. At least give all named thralls high end damage modifers, it is annoying finding named “fighters” with say 1.5 damage modifier versus 2.2+ for the Accursed.
So in short, I support more variety in high-end thralls rather than Accursed Zerks & Accursed named holding that place alone, but I’m not in favour of a general nerf to thralls. Oh and it would be nice for purges or even surges to included rare superior fighters (and not with only one faction being any good!) that can be caught, that was a good concept that has not really materialized.
This is what I am talking about one or a few thralls making is disappointing and unrewarding to explore and take thralls from a variety of places. Maybe if there was a way to buff our thralls permanently even after they are broken and leveled.
They already it seems did away with levels of power from top to bottom of the map in Siptah so there really is no reason to inherently have weaker thralls by design other than to make the others a point to fight over to control their taking. This will on both pve and pvp likely result in a building or other structure blocking or restricting access to the “choice” thralls location(s) similar to the Shattered Springs in the Exiled lands.
I wonder is unique buffs or other characteristics to each specific tier of thralls/npc exiles . Maybe add an attack path or animation specific to the tier of thrall. You could also make it so some thralls can only use certain items . Berserkers could only be melee or only use Berserker favored weapon types. Berserkers could also maybe be harder to control due to their berserker raging.
Here an interesting idea make the berserkers be able to do friendly fire.
Named thrall from each fraction judging from their stat they have at the beginning:
Black Corsair have faster movement speed while in light armor.
Styian Invader can the have a sure hit rate
Exile can just be the fast leveler.
Accursed are the tankly type
Seems logical to me and would make it so there would be a reason to venture the map even after you explored all more most of it . The only issue I could see really is that there was a developer want not to have racial labels mean anything beyond cosmetics though that may have been only meant for players not npcs.
I think your core issue is an issue with 90% of thrallweapons, that other than rp reasons, they are not needed. Dame with weapons. Thus wasted dev resource of implementing at all. The iron/steel/hardened steel weapons are useless, and only there for people to “force” themselves to use them nce they realize leveling past them recipe wise was near instant. They are there, but really rp only if one is trying to insure best defense against purges and tanking bosses.
I think of the crafting weapons as the regular weapons in the game with legendaries there to be for specialized combat only . That was the original pitch for Legendary weapons was that they were or could be powerful but with the drawback of not being repairable insuring that they would not always be used for everything. This changed drastically when they allowed them to be repaired with kits.
What changed drastically? Their use or the legendary weapon stats on upon initial release?
You couldn’t repair legendary weapons at first. That was added later.
You’ve been able to create legendary repair kits with a purge BS since the games official release AFAIK. So I don’t see your point.
I also don’t see what your argument is, the vast majority of weapons classified as legendary that are in use today are craftable. You’d be able to repair them regardless. Legendary chest weapons were wall ornaments on release, in large part because of the required purge thrall and purges not working properly. This was only exacerbated by the fact that Legendary chest weapons were never particularly powerful. Most of “good” ones are within 5 damage of flawless star metal weapons and thats being generous. Watchblade and Strangely Familiar Axe are both 3 damage higher than their flawless SM alternatives, which is far from game changing. What specialized combat situation were you gonna turn around with 3 more damage on your weapon? It made sense for legendary repair kits to be lootable in certain places, so maybe they’d actually be used.
The whole “original pitch” approach is also just bizarre to me. Game developers can change and adjust things in their game to fit their vision at any time. They are far from beholden to any thought they may have shared more than 3 years ago.
I answered your question already in the post. It was added later. it was 2018 when the purge came out and legendary items were available before then. You can look it up if you like. The rest is just your opinion against mine which is usually where all your posts against mine go. Opinions are fine.
Funny how the game was released in 2018…down right wild.
Just gonna ignore the rest of my post about lack luster stats on legendary weapons, lack of use by the player base, and the fact no way you spin it this was over 3 years ago?
Edit: Dev Blog #19: Countdown to launch! - Conan Exiles So you’re either referring to EA gameplay, which is down right ridiculous, or your recollection of content on release is a bit cloudy.
Cool ignoring my post does allow me to ignore yours also. Glad we are in agreement . Have fun with your opinions.
