Yeah, who are these so-called RP-ers anyway
While I do play PvP, I’m not blind.
RP servers absolutely dominate in PC community.
The majority of top 20 servers are RP or light RP.
Also, the majority are NA based so these numbers are not even high pop.
(interestingly, there are very big RP servers that aren’t on BattleMetrics: it’s not just the top 10 if you add those ^^')
Tot is in talks with funcom. Leave it alone, you are becoming part of the problem.
Lol. Every accusation is an admission of guilt with people like KagaNilo.
You are not entitled to an explanation. As you are affiliated neither with the game nor the mod author, you are not entitled to a communication from Funcom. The mod author has told everyone as much as they want anyone else to know about the situation. That should be enough. Something tells me you’re only on here Karen-ing up because you know if you pulled that in the mod author’s forums, you’d get kicked. No one would tolerate your behavior right now if they had a choice.
Do you honestly want me to answer that?
I have to completely disagree with you right here. First off, as an RP-er, I play more Conan than most people because I play IN the Hyborian Age. As in strictly in character in the literary world built by Robert E. Howard. Now I do understand that not all RP servers are like this, but those are the ones I personally play on. And for the “few empty servers”… are you sure about that? RP servers tend to be by and far the MOST populated servers there are.
Example: Here are the 15 most populated PvP servers at this current point in time. 11 of those 15 specifically state RP in their name. So yeah, MOSTLY DEAD right?
What about PvE? Well 6 of them are specifically RP, 3 are in a language I cannot read. That leaves 6 that do not specifically state that they are RP. In total, between those two types, that’s a guaranteed 17 out of 30 (more than half if you cannot math, which if you think that there are only a “few empty servers” I might have to question [especially considering the 100/100 server populations] ).
So yeah, Roleplayers ARE part of the community. And a rather large part of it.
Actually, you see me often. But in truth, most Roleplayers do not bother to come here because of… well… THIS.
yeah I’m just trolling, continue please
Roleplayers aren’t even 30% of the whole community. It fluctuates from 10% on off-peak to 20% on peak.
Where do you get your statistics from? I would be very interested to see where exactly you are getting accurate statistical data of these numbers.
I made a script that gets every server from BattleMetrics with their population count. Then finds the RP servers depending on their name by having certain words in it.
And yet…
You see, not every server is on BattleMetrics. So that isn’t accurate, which is the thing I asked for. But you know, you could also just look above and see the screen shots above, and look at where the most populated servers are. What does that tell you? The vast majority are playing in RP servers. Not just playing in RP servers but playing at numbers that are double (if not more) than the maximum number that officials can hold. But well, you made a script after all.
Most of the popular RP servers are in the stats I have. A representative slice of the data is enough since you can’t get everything. People just need to stop moaning and let ToT and Funcom deal with it.
The main topic on this subject has been bouncing from ‘Opening in 5 minutes’ to ‘Opening in 4 hours’ for a significant portion of the weekend now. Of course people wish to keep the discussion active.
Entitlement and threats; ‘Shut up and deal with it’ - On a discussion forum no less - and highly subjective ‘science’ as to the proportion of roleplayers that don’t really count anyway. Well, at least theres comedy
technically you can… the launcher codemage made lists all servers, here’s how it looks currently
However, despite this I still stand by my estimate that the RP crowd is roughly 5% or less of the total, but again, most people play this game in single player
Regardless of all this, it simply doesn’t matter, this shouldn’t be some weird appendage-measuring contest between which community is larger and that goes both ways…
That’s why I pointed out in the other thread that people barging in beating on their chest of how they’re the largest community and how they spend the most money trying to use that as some form of leverage to blackmail is a bit silly… even if they were 50%, it still shouldn’t be the determining factor whether they lift a ban or not…
They just need to wait and see what happens
it is a completely different matter
Let people complain thats what forms are for lol, funcom has the actual numbers you or me dont, I honestly think the people who come in here and complain about the people complaining whether its about this, or some pvp issue, or pve issue, are literally the worse, like thats what feedback and fourms are for my dude, its up to the devs to decide what complaints are valid or not, not you
nothing is worse than people with holier than thou attitude coming in here and trying to be some sort of arbitrator of what complaints are valid or not
only up to a certain point…
the different matter was the initial wave of people who legit came here to support Tot…
Starting from the point where he received a response from Funcom and asked everybody to chill out… what’s left is the people who don’t give a flying F about Tot… and are simply upset that their game is “not working”… Those people would equally turn on him in a heartbeat, because they clearly don’t care enough to respect his wishes.
So no, it’s not really a different matter after crossing the line between productive support and counter-productive “devbashing”
There are some servers among those you posted that are running a work around to use the mod ToT . Untill the next patch, if not unbanned.
