We’re releasing a hotfix with a couple of bugfixes tackling music and some fishy buffs. It also contains a fix to an exploit that would allow allocating more Attributes than intended. For this reason, all characters’ Attributes will be reset once the patch hits live.
Thanks again for your feedback and for helping us improve the game.
PLEASE NOTE: The Xbox One patch will be substantially large (60gb). This is because we had to update the base version of the game that you download from the Microsoft store. We know this is inconvenient for several of you, but subsequent patches will be significantly smaller in size.
Background music in the game should now be playing correctly again
The new fish recipes from the Dagon Dungeon now work correctly and will not needlessly reduce your health
Currently Known Issues
After the Attribute allocation fix is live you need to tab over to both the Attribute and Feats menus, otherwise your Attributes will reset every time your character dies
Trello Report Board
We have a public bug tracking board here! You can check this to track the issues that get brought up by the community the most. In the “For prioritization” column you can vote for the issues you would like us to prioritize and we will make sure it gets moved into development asap. You can read the full details on how it works on the forum post here.
In all sincerity… I am so glad I am married to a stay at home wife. She’ll be downloading this to both our consoles, so I can play when I get home from work.
She’s also a part time miracle worker, making sure everything runs correctly at home, so I can actually find time to play.
I sure hope when they fix gods they wipe all the duplicated Zeals from the game and perma ban players who did it otherwise we will just have a ton of gods
Thank you for continually working on the game. My concern is that the Trello which you regularly feature and push for the community barely features anything that any of us consistently ask for. As someone who reads through what players post as replies on Twitter, these forums and listen to from players on servers in console: your Trello does not reflect even half of what has been asked for over the last 6 months. One main console concern that is not there: repeatedly being kicked on login. That isn’t just a new bug. It was introduced last May, you’ve said multiple times you were addressing it and never Trello prioritized it. How about working admin panels - nearly a year later and we STILL cannot scroll through the player list to properly ban toxic players. I don’t mean your Trello “single player” listing for the admin panel either: I mean unofficial multiplayer servers we are paying monthly for. Another one that should be showing up? Players are now glitching through bases. Please don’t play coy either: refer to your Tom & Jerry Twitter post about stealing from alpha clans. Kind community players posted screenshots with their replies about the issue. We don’t expect you to react immediately. Rendering has been a long time issue which you attempted to patch before that has now lead to new issues. You want us to use Trello, ok, but we report and this system only lists what you seem to feel is important to list for us to upvote. Not what we have actually posted in the forums. Possibly what would be more helpful to us as console: a console test live server. Allow us a few console servers to give you unique feedback on in a forum space. A Discord where we could communicate in real time and offer up bugs, screenshots, server feedback, etc.
Edit Also let me add, as part of a recent fix you added back the player names to base tiles. This is great. What you did not disclose to players was that you half-did it. To us admins, we now have a new setting which if the server is restarted we have to implement otherwise player logs are messed up just like that big bad bug again. If a player steals from them, even through glitching through walls, it shows as an anonymous player in their logs… Unless we as admins by hand go in and flip that setting manually. GPortal has notified us that the game is known to be unstable. We have had to set up a daily restart to keep our server from crashing. This means that if players want their logs to be readable: a team of admins has to be on top of setting daily.
All of that because when you patch-coded-in a bug you did not thoroughly test it. Also, when you patch-coded-out that same bug you did not thoroughly test it. It’s also still not on the Trello.
I’d be happy if just the lag would be fixed. My fights against npc they just disappear, my animal fights nothing after they are dead or sits and doesn’t help until I’ve almost killed attackers. These things are a much higher priority to me.
I remember it being said on one of the live ■■■■■■ streams before that the base version was to be updated/replaced and that would stop the Xbox having massive DL’s every time and yet here we are yet again with a total reinstall, i have to admit even I am thinking about just unstalling it completely and not bothering anymore.
It appears the exploits being fixed required changing the base game files. So basically it required a full reinstall of the game.
I don’t like having to reinstall a game, much less download that much data, but hopefully this won’t happen often.
I, for one, appreciate Funcom fixing MAJOR game breaking bugs/glitches/exploits. I personally have experienced a toxic group of players using these exploits and it can ruin the game for everyone. I can deal with having to wait a couple of days to download the game if it means not having to deal with those exploiting ********.
I agree. Many of the things that were game breaking or that were causing me to take long breaks with the potential for not returning have been fixed. Most of what i encounter now are just inconveniences. Also, i appreciate the responsiveness of the community team regardless of the large amounts of salt they get. Not to mention i think i only paid 20 or 30$ for it during beta (if i remember correctly) and i have been putting more time into this than any big title game i have
Don’t forget to mention the anniversary dlc… For all the loyal players… 10 € for 5 helmets and a couple of statues… Funcom now has a worse Dlc-Politics than EA (didn’t even think this is possible…)
I guess it’s too late if future updates will be “significantly smaller in size” but a heads up on the massive size of the update would have been a good idea.
I say this as someone who just bought the game for Xbox on disc because I thought it would save me twenty or thirty gigs of downloading. Instead I got 1.09 Gb installed from the disc and had to download another 75.76 Gb. Now I’ve got a disc that is a liability instead of a convenience.
Finally finished this download and two days later here’s another sixty gigs. If I’d known it was coming I would have just waited.
Having finally finished downloading the game again I find that everything I have built has gone just a few thralls left without anywhere to sit lol lots of time and effort wasted.
