PC Hotfix (13.10.2020) - Hotfix 2.0.6: Stability, Exploits, and General fixes!

Greetings Exiles!

Today’s hotfix addresses some crashes, an exploit related to the Maelstrom, introduces some tweaks to the storm and its creatures’ behaviors, and fixes minor graphical issues, specifically certain forest moss and glowing assets, as well as light levels on certain areas of the Isle of Siptah.

Please remember that updates can mess with your installed mods. We suggest taking a backup of your current database before updating to any new patch if you have mods installed.

  • Fixed a number of client and server crashes
  • Fixed performance during fights with a high number of NPCs, especially during the storm

  • Confiscated a Pym Particles shipment that was smuggled into the Isle of Siptah. #attackonexiles
  • Fixed a Maelstrom related exploit
  • Fixed multiple security vulnerabilities

  • Fixed an issue that prevented ambush enemies from attacking their target when spawned

  • Limited the number of enemies that can attack an individual inside the Maelstrom

  • Fixed an issue that caused players in Single Player or Co-op sessions from setting the appropriate storm effects and ambush enemy spawn rates

  • Fixed some drastic and unintended light level changes in certain areas of the Isle of Siptah
  • Fixed the textures on certain glowing assets

  • Fixed a UI issue in the crafting section

Thank you for the update.
The drowned vaults look really nice. The underwater level design looks amazing.
Also, the maelstrom spawn rate is more confortable now. I’m really enjoying farming the maelstrom right now, with a constant 70 ping.

yup and lets see if now able to get a t2 thrall… because thralls require to farm maelstrom… curious to see the balance done.

I didn’t see any fixes for Journey bugs. I still can’t complete “Command a Follower” :neutral_face:

If this is what i hope it is, then I know at least a couple of people who are going to be upset by this.

The rest of us are going to be very happy to not have to retrieve a corpse from the other side of the map when the server crashes.

So what is the update for on the old Exiles map? It looks like all it does is for Siptah. I didn’t buy and do not want Siptah!

This thread is for changes with Hotfix 2.0.6. If a change is not in the patch notes, it is likely not implemented yet.

Again no fix for Lootchests not spawning

See no fix for not being able to make some recipes you receive as no sand beast thus no glands to find but guess its not important to fix for players , a fix that would take a few minutes to add it to a drop list.

Is this the big update they were talking about in their last stream as wow it does not fix hardly anything and no changes so why the big secret on the stream lol. Big build up on a big update and get hardly any fixes and who knows what they left out of the notes as always. Wonder what they nerfed this update???

Also the fire shaders are still orange and make the thralls that work those benches look washed out and their hair to have hardly any texture and lost its color , so everything around fire looks washed out and wrong. Guess they missed it even though its been reported.

sadly nights are still pretty illuminated and sand dunes stay shiny (like in the sun) during the night

When can we except a fix for the summoned surges and their horrible rates on crafters? Or a fix for all the caves where you can’t build because people can mesh inside within 5 seconds? Or a fix for the loot chest at the end of the vault?

I’d rather have 1 frickin vault with visual bug for a while and your team focusing on the important things you really need to fix.

Yes! I appreciate fixes in general, but they do seem to be the less important things and not major issues…
Like fix the empty chests in vaults.
Reduce time it takes to summon a calamity.
Lots of issues with placing thralls on walkable surfaces.
Balance summoned and wild surge crafter drops.
For now I can just squint my eyes in the water dungeon and live with it lol. That’s not ruining the game play like the other stuff.

I don’t care about the Isle of Siptah map, The Exiled Lands map is full of bugs, Purge is buggy, mobs are stacked and stuck inside the ground, rarely more than one wave happens. Red Mother is disappearing in the middle of the fight. The horses and thralls are bugging on the slopes, ramps and stairs, getting stuck with the char. Glowing Goop is so bright that I use it as a reference point to walk through Swangle at night. The large chests in the Arena and Xalthar’s Refuge are always empty and you almost never find anything.
There are players who bought the “expansion” and are still playing on the good old original map, plz look at us!
