Funcom please do not do this!

just watched wak4863’s video about stealth nerfs coming to the game on testlive right now and one is now when a thrall uses a weapon it loses duribility! server i play on is a ghost town, pve, are you trying to drive off the rest of your player base so you can stop working on the game entirely?

Yes Please Funcom Listen to your Community, it’s understandable this is in Testlive but hear what your players gotta say before this kinda stealth nerfs happen, Communication is key and Bad Communication that’s what leads to players losing interest or straight up moving on like Wak in the Video.

So disappointed that there is no communication to the players who keep this game alive. I’m an xbox player and I feel like the passion to put out a great game is over. Money is driving this mess. I miss the old days…

That will suck. I give my thralls legendaries or better. It’s really about time… a lot of time to repair. More time than fun. No fun means the active users count show 0/40 on officials. :no_entry:

What money? Do you feel that this state of the game will bring any new players i.e money? I know that while I still like some aspects of the game, I can hardly recommend it anymore.

Sounds to me as it was not intended but i see no problem with it.

I always found it OP from thralls to not use durability.

It does sound like its not intended. Durability loss on shields was a think and it was acknowledged as a bug. I don’t see this being different.

But if its intended, well I’m not sure of the repercusions there. Equipping thralls isn’t tough to do. Them not using durability has always been a QOL thing.

So… just like thrall feeding pots… we would have fixit stations that the thrall automatically repairs from. Just thinking about it.

I really hope it is not intended , and if it is that we get at least a " UI durability indicator " of our followers stuff when following . If we don’t have at least the last one then the game will be in a real poor state ( regardless of any bugfixes ) considering the legendaries that breaks can’t be repaired and the amount of time needed to get a sword of crom in exiles land at the moment ( this will drive people insane ) .

while i don’t care having to repair the weapon my thrall uses , i do care that the weapôn I spent RNGEZUS knows several hundreds of hours farming for my thralls break because there is no way in combat to see the durability of said weapon … or even in between two close instances of combat

Okay. So here’s where I put on my tinfoil hat. There are other games out there where the developers intentionally made maintenance of weapons and armor an enormous grind. They then turned around and started selling instant repair kits in their cash shop. It’s not pay to win, per se, but it’s definitely a good example of a company creating an artificial barrier and then monetizing that artificially created barrier.

I’d say that if you see the implementation of a cash shop in the next fiscal quarter or two (only selling vanity items at first, of course) that’s probably what’s going on here.

I kinda doubt that’s what’s going on here, though. Implementing a cash shop isn’t a small undertaking and I personally think Funcom would be 100% bonkers to try and implement something like that while all this other churn is going on.

I’m against this imagine having 60+ thralls getting purges then you have to run around checking each weapon on your thralls maybe equipment to then having to repair every weapon, shield, and armor the grind is already bad this will drive everyone insane

I kinda doubt cash shop. CE is holding pretty hard on lore, and they don’t really seem to have Staff sitting on CE itself.

They can’t really go full cash shop and just add random designs. lack of new DLC for year was abit of let down. Dancer outfit from each race wouldve been killer seller.

Not mention if they did more fun Build designs that stepped away from base designs.

Safcolding, other rope bridges and stuff. Love it to be base game update… I’d be happy paying for new stuff.
Pig on Roast… Food on plates (predone)

Handful of things I want them to do… I don’t see it being like FO76 cash shop updating every week or 2, and cycling items.
Or Funcom Tokens…

As for durablitly… I think its not on purpose. Then what about armor? I’d not be a fan of it. Its just more micro-managing of things I shouldnt have to none stop. I’d rather play game… then be stuck in a menu.

Funcom if you read this I understand you want to make things more challenging for the players but you have to also understand this on the players part the grind is tough and players have to figure out ways to work around the bugs and crashes on your game us veterans have figured how to deal with most of the bugs but many newcomers don’t they play and eventually quit this week alone 7 players or clans quit on my server I know I scavenged 4 of the bases I missed the 3 others yes new players have joined but I’ve been playing since EA and it’s the usual routine … I believe these players play enjoy the game some deal with the grind others give up those that push forward try to figure out we’re to get all these weapons and recipes then they run into a tough grind trying to get enough high value materials to make flawless epic armors some have been able to make a few but then they realize they need to make many more for all there thralls but need to finish building there T3 base for purges and others things they need to farm and get done it’s almost an endless job and they just give up … when I scavenge there bases I see what they have and know what they were attempting to do and they just give up if your game was perfect (barely any bugs or crashes) then maybe increasing the challenge wouldn’t be so bad but having to deal with these problems and you changing the game to make it more of a grind even diehards like me might not be able to deal with it and in all honesty I love this game I’ve been playing since EA and imagine all that I have accumulated over all this time but understand this my love for this game can only go so far don’t push me away Funcom

Apparently, the plan is now we have to micromanage thralls.

That sounds fun.

Good grief. They aren’t going to do a cash shop. Just stop.

STONE … I’ve been playing since day 1 EA do you know how much stone I’ve farmed from then till now I couldn’t even tell you it’s the easiest thing to get I could farm probably 100k stone in 30 mins but now I have to force myself to make a run to farm Stone (I hate it) now I’ll need to repair my thralls legendary weapons, shields, and armor I’ll need to farm tons of legendary repair kits farming is not fun when you have to do it for a long period of time and add that to other things you’ll have to farm to get things done … yes I’ve done to majority of the work already but imagine new players that are just getting started

Hey there,

It does seem that this video might have jumped the gun and assumed these are intentional, undocumented changes and announcing them as such before reporting them as possible issues in the Work in Progress build available on Testlive, or waiting for our confirmation.
Please, instead of assuming something is intentional in a Testlive build, do report it to us first or ask if it is, at least, an oversight in documenting the patchnotes. In this case, it does seem to be an issue in the current Work in Progress build of Update 2.2 and it has been relayed as such to our QA team, pending confirmation.
